Hi I’m jay and I’m a qualified carpenter that specialises in general carpentry and roofing. I can fit doors,windows (velux/upvc), can do all aspects of 2nd fix ( doors/skirting/arkitrave/ spindles/ handrail, window boards etc). I can also cut on roofs and do roofing ( felting, battening, tiling). Also can do 1st fix (structural floors, stud walls and linings, flooring , insulation, plasterboarding etc. also can lay slabs/blocks and fit steels if needed. I have been in the trade since leaving school over45years, I am experienced in brick, block and natural stone. I am experienced in new building and alterations from a new fireplace surround to knocking two rooms into one, to new patio or extensions, or just repair or repointing. I've been a qualified horticulturalist (and have several NVQs and hold a pa1 pa2 spraying licence) for over 18 years and have been running my own gardening business for the past 11 years. I offer regular maintenance visits alongside one off visits for both domestic and commercial clients. I offer an elderly discount price on all regular maintenance and one off jobs when working for domestic clients. I am also happy to give out references for my work from previous or current clients if requested. I use all high end commercial gardening equipment (Stihl) and take all green waste away from each job and dispose of it responsibly and legally.
