Hi im Daniel Mew, originally from the Isle of Wight but now living in Brighton. Im qualified in Joinery and Carpentry and Civil Engineering. Been doing Joinery and Carpentry since school, and now 37, Im well experienced in the trade. I have my own work van and all my own tools, so ready to undertake any job and also happy to travel further outside of Brighton for work. I've done everything from sash window repairs, bespoke media walls and wardrobes, bespoke furniture, kitchens, flat pack assembly, studwork, doors and linings. Carpentry is very satisfying for me to do as a career. Its very rewarding taking someone's ideas and making them a reality especially for bespoke one off products. I have great communication skills, visions and ideas, which is essential to create a good working relationship and deliver the best for the client. I did my Joinery apprenticeship with my Dad, so ever since day one the standard was set high and I maintain that standard even now, even down to cleaning and tidying once a job is complete.

Our main focus is on small to medium size refurbs, the kind of jobs where we can be creative and come up with unique solutions, whether that be a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or a living room. I hate big firms who just re-sell mass manufactured products, so I try to keep as much of the work, from the initial design and drawings through hand making all of my joinery in the workshop to install and completion done in house, with the exception of plumbing and electrical work for which I use people who are a lot more qualified and experienced than me! So if you're looking for a local company with various expertise and years of experience in the business feel free to give me a call I'd love to see your ideas and bring them to life!

I'm a Brighton-based handyman with a craftsman's eye for detail and a straightforward approach to getting things done properly. Whether it's a sticking door, a room full of flatpack, fresh silicone around a bath, or a set of bespoke shelves — I turn up on time, work tidily and leave your home better than I found it. Day to day I cover the full range of household repairs and improvements: door hanging and adjustment, flat pack furniture assembly, picture and mirror hanging, curtain pole and blind fitting, shelf installation, TV mounting, silicone sealing for bathrooms and kitchens, drywall repair, interior painting, and garden room or shed assembly. I also take on more involved carpentry work — custom shelving, fitted storage and bespoke furniture — for customers who want something built properly rather than bought off the shelf. I work with a fixed quote system, so you always know exactly what you'll pay before I start. No hidden extras, no surprises. I cover Brighton, Hove, Lewes, Rottingdean, Saltdean, Peacehaven, Shoreham-by-Sea, Patcham, Kemptown and Portslade.

I've called Brighton home my whole life and take pride in doing a good job with a real eye for detail. By working on plenty of older properties I understand the unique quirks and challenges that come with them. I've worked as an electrician for many years and have experience across all sorts of residential and commercial projects. These days due to family commitments, I prefer the variety and flexibility of taking on all kinds of work, including handyman jobs, property maintenance, refurbishments, repairs, decorating, flat-pack assembly, electrical work, and general home improvements. I have a van, a full set of professional tools, and a fully kitted out workshop where I can take on bespoke projects and custom builds as well as jobs in your home or workplace. I'm DBS checked, reliable, tidy, and easy to get along with. I believe in turning up when I say I will, communicating clearly, and leaving every job completed to a high standard. I'm LGBTQ+ friendly and welcome clients from all backgrounds. Whether you need a small repair, help with a bigger project, or something custom made, I'm always happy to help.
