Hello. I am a female handywoman in my 40's. I have been around the building environment since I was 12 years old due to my fathers line of work which was renovating old properties and building new builds. I have always enjoyed helping my father every chance I had, so I have learnt a lot form him, by observing and helping. My latest job with him was building a 2 bed property, which I thoroughly loved. I am just at the end of a 13 week college course at Exeter college. It's a Multi-skills course which includes 3 weeks of Carpentry/Joinery. 4 weeks of Bricklaying/Paving and Patios. 3 weeks of Painting and Wallpapering, and 2 weeks of Plastering. I am looking into an apprenticeship in Plumbing for September as I want to work in the Plumbing sector. I have a good all round knowledge of general home improvements but I can honestly say that I will not try to complete a job that I know I cannot do.
