Roland was very good. He was polite and friendly. He arrived exactly on time, started right away, made no mess and had the drawers assembled and in place in the room in an hour and a half. He cut up all the packaging, put it into sacks and disposed of it in the bin then swept the floor. He was an excellent worker. 10/10.

Robert installed a new shower room suite and kitchen radiators and tiled the shower room from floor to ceiling. The plumbing and tiling are of the highest quality. The new shower room looks superb. Robert was keen to give us what we wanted. He always did what he said he would and kept us informed throughout. His professionalism and reliability are of the highest order.

tom hilton and his workmate gaz are a credit to the building trade they have done a wonderful job working sometime in very difficult conditions whatever you ask them they will do with a smile and just get on with it and they are very competative on price i will certainly have them back next door has also said what a nice job they do i srongly recommend this builder the difficult conditions was not the weather it was thick foliage from next door but have left it undamaged. for my neighbours

Similar experience to Gethin. Unreliable. First, his van got broken into and then no reply after saying he was turning up one morning at 9:30. I’m sure he does a good job when he turns up.

A few years back, I rebuilt, and decorated my own house from start to finish, which in itself was a fantastic project, and one that I can whole heartedly recommend. It has given me a confidence, within property maintenance, to see the best, quickest and cheapest, options for the variety of problems that one encounters.

Rick (sometimes plus Stuart) is a talented builder who works to a good standard. Can tackle wide range of work. Both guys pleasant to deal with. During early part of work, they discovered major problem (breach to damp course). Originally planned work was adapted & adjusted. They undertook quite extensive damp proofing work. As far as I can determine, done carefully, thoroughly, professionally. I added additional idea/solution using thermal wallpaper. All this meant that in the end, this was no low cost upgrade to just one room. I have ended up with main bedroom with much work done: damp proofing; re-plastering to two external walls; thermal wallpaper, cross lined; two new ventilation outlets; new vinyl click plank flooring with underlay; new light fitting & skirting; damp sealed layer to ceiling; walls, ceiling, skirting all repainted. 3 nearby doors adjusted as well. I can recommend Brights Property Maintenance. This aims to be a balanced review, so I will also add that, from the very start, floor protection should have been laid to every area of the property where the builders walked & worked. Also, much better care, awareness, sensitivity to mess caused to rest of client’s property. Lastly, as the job specification changed, updated invoices should have been issued to record all changes, and possibly receipts for materials passed to client or careful list of purchases made. We ended with some dispute at the end over cost, which did spoil things between us.

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL Unfortunately my experience with this tradesman was a disappointing one. He originally gave me a start date and time, he agreed to come in the morning then he texted to say that that he would come lunch time! Lunch time he didn’t show up, after I chased, he then said between 4:00-5:00, with the materials ,AGAIN he failed to show up, and didn’t have the courtesy to call or message me. It would have been far better to simply decline the job rather than giving misleading information and impressions. This is not a good first impression at all. You would think with only 8 reviews, (7 which are positive) would try to build a good reputation. I would NOT recommend this person as he comes across as unreliable.

Would definitely recommend J&L Projects! Jemma and Leah did a great job. Jemma was very quick to respond to all of my questions when first quoting for the work which was great and meant we were able to fix a date for the work to start very soon after I posted the job. Jemma was completely transparent about costs and the price break down which was much appreciated and not the case with everyone else who quoted. Jemma and Leah were polite and friendly and I felt 100% comfortable having them in my home. They worked their arses off to get the job finished in less then two days including working in the rain to finish up. They left the garden neat and clean and made extra effort to neaten some of the slightly frayed wood on the panels- which they didn't have to do. Great advice about how to look after the wood in the future and good knowledge about other jobs I asked for advice about. I would 100% use them again. Trustworthy, hard working and reliable!

I hired Darren to re-plaster interior of porch. I have to say that his work far exceeded my expectations - he is a perfectionist! He arrived on time both to quote for the work and to carry out the work which he did in a friendly and professional manner. I was expecting to have quite a bit of cleaning to do when the work was finished but no - everything was left extremely clean and tidy. I have already booked him to carry out some exterior work in a few weeks and would highly recommend him.
