We are a building company and in the end had the labour to take out the wall, however we did use oliver to put in the steel work on the job and he did a very thorough job. the site was left tidy and we had no issues. Oliver is a very polite and easy to get on with guy, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or even use him again in the future.

After a rogue builder left me with 18 (eighteen) structural issues. Lez and his crew came in transformed my failed extension into a masterpiece. All aspects of the job was done to the highest quality and utmost care and attention to detail was shown to building control needs. They cleaned up after every day and made sure the house was habitable, as I had to live there. Every aspect of the build, from the carpentry, plastering and tiling was first class and their recommend electrician and plumbers were from the same stock. Total professionals. My only regret is that I did not use this builder the first time. The prices were reasonable and even building control had good word to say about their work. Thanks Lez

From the moment we met Gareth we were impressed. The set out of the quote and the information which he provided with it were by far the most professional. Being a complete novice in the builing/renovation area, it was a daunting project to commence but Gareth, and Emma, were not far from hand and very supportive in the process. We were made to feel comfortable in questioning anything we were not sure of. Upon the work starting we were introduced to Michael. Best described as Gareth's number 2. We have nothing but sheer respect for the work that that man can get through. He clearly has high standards of workmanship and with his time keeping. Always on time, never once in the 6 months he was at the property was he late or fail to arrive. Throughout the project we met and dealt with other members of the team, who were all polite and happy to chat. There have been one or two occasions when Gareth has been late /delayed to us, but you are able to quite happily chase him without there being an issue about it later down the line. There have been a few add-ons to the project as we have progressed which the team have happily adapted and or changed. Nothing is really too much trouble. Would I employ them again? Most definitely yes. Have I recommended them. Without doubt. Our dogs will miss them!!

I couldn't be more happy with the porch that Dave & James built for me. I have a character property and had a very specific idea of what I wanted and they got it spot on. They were extremely sympathetic to the original cottage and my new addition looks like it has been there forever. I decided to go with an Oak front door which James fitted and it's perfect. I was very pleased to see both Dave and James turn up each morning before I headed off for work so that we could have a catch up. I really, really appreciated this gesture. The work was completed on time as promised. I will most definitely be using David James Construction in the future with the landscaping of my front garden being the next project. We had a two storey extension built. The job involved building and installing a new utility room and bedroom above. However; we also required a bedroom converting to anew bathroom, a new boiler and radiators, an old bathroom converted into a passageway and an ensuite and the knocking down of some internal walls. One was to extend the kitchen and then install a new kitchen too. In the meantime Chris also dug out and relaid our driveway and built a new patio in our back garden. There has also been new guttering installed and a new damp course and french drains completed. Whenever we've needed any work done Chris has been able to find a solution, help us to complete the work and always been cheerful as he's done it. Our house was quite a challenge (being old) but every time he's managed to keep in budget and on time. Things have gone wrong on occasion (through no fault of Chris) but he's always kept us up to date and helped to solve the problem. He was on time and on budget with everything and if the cost went up it was because we required a stronger RSJ or he had found an issue that took more work to do. His team are cheerful and honest and he also helped us find an electrician and plumber and even found an excellent kitchen fitter. We are very pleased with everything he has done for us.
