Exceptional service from an exceptional, diligent and very hard working couple of guys (John & Jamie). Whilst we received quotes from other companies to rip out the vast chunks of concrete in our front and back garden and replace it with grass/footpath/patio, what really impressed us about JDW apart from them being so friendly and cheerful, was that they were the only company that actually got tools out and surveyed the work to be done. As a result they discovered that we had 10 inches+ of concrete in our garden that needed to be dug out (not 4 or so inches which other companies seemed to assume would be there). Added to that they’d contacted their Skip Supplier in advance of coming to see us so they could tell us exactly how much our local council would charge for skips to be kept on the road. As a result we found their quote to be far more accurate. We’re pleased to say that the great service continued after we appointed them to do the works. They always turned up on time, always had a smile on their faces, never slacked, and never once went missing in action - for us this spoke volumes about them as the job they did for us was a very very hard one for just 2 people. They were also very easy to bounce ideas off and always incredibly helpful. Would we use them again? Well we already are because we’ve found them to be such a reliable, trustworthy and hardworking pair of guys with an impressive work ethic…. and to be honest, we’ve appreciated their company!

Henry and his team did an excellent job removing our front lawn and adding a paved area a new path with block paving and also widening our brick driveway wall in front of our house. Henry's team worked long hours over a three day period to complete the job on time in all weathers. We are so happy with the results with many of our neighbours commenting on how quickly the work was completed and how lovely the house now looks. Henry is a positive chap, very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had in relation to the work being carried out but were also happy to talk through other issues concerning landscaping around the house and give advice. The price that he quoted when we first met him is the price that we ended up paying, no added extra's which we expected as we had asked him to complete a couple of other small jobs outside the one that he originally quoted for. It is quite rare nowadays to find good, honest, hard working and reliable contractors. We are very happy customers who will be recommencing Henry and his team at HLO to neighbours, friends and family and will most defiantly be using his services again. Thank you for a job well done!

We are extremely thrilled with the results of the work achieved by Danny and his team, the quality of the workmanship is excellent. From the outset when Danny came to see the state of the original garden, he provided great guidance and advice to us on what was possible within the budget, and the flexibility around the design choices. Once we had agreed to the work, the materials, skips, and equipment all arrived (and disappeared) efficiently, and he was very conscious of the impact to my immediate neighbours. Even when the snow set in, resulting in a delay, Danny and his team went over & above to keep me informed, and understand what progress could be made (and when). Danny was true to his word regarding the quotation, it was highly accurate; and even when we needed to build an extra retaining wall due to complications that the garden presented, we worked out the implications together. I could not be more pleased with the result, and I would recommend anyone considering using Danny to include him as one of your quotations - he'll stand out from the rest without a doubt.
