After receiving a competitive quote from Dan he set to work on the arranged date and made light work of the digging and foundations. The wall and patio went up with much the same enthusiasm but unfortunately Dan was elsewhere when this was being done and the (skilled men!!) he left behind to do the job were frankly not up to it! Standards of work such as being able to put your fingers behind a level flat against the wall and uneven and badly spaced patio slabs, backfilling the wall with all of there rubbish and steps to steep to use, and with no drainage holes in the wall were but a few of the faults. When we highlighted our concerns with the quality of the job to Dan he promptly said, when would we like him to come and sort the problems! and that he would go away and ponder how he was going to correct the issues and would be in touch shortly. Well as I write this review it is nearly a year and half since we last saw him.... In short if you want someone to do your garden justice then think long and hard as we felt very let down by the whole experience. It's a shame you can't put pictures of the work up on this site!!

Couldn’t fault this firm, it was a massive job with numerous snags to overcome, which they did expertly. A steep sloping site, limited parking and access. They did a brilliant job and we would wholly recommend them for any job - big or small.

Ben and his colleague did a super job in my garden, removing a hedge/field boundary, flattening the area, and putting up a fence. Ben communicated well and he was able to fit in the job over a weekend despite being already fully booked. They worked quickly and efficiently, and Ben also happily incorporated some last minute changes. He kept me informed of the progress and also gave me some advice on how to best continue with the garden project. Very good work, friendly service and well priced. I'd definitely recommend Ben's company.

Jack cam to look at the job of repairing a Victorian handrail at the entrance to a block of flats. He was very positive and came up with a solution of welding the cast iron pillars and strengthening the handrail by drilling and bolts. Other tradesmen I had asked to do the job were not happy to weld the cast iron. On the arranged day Jack arrived spot on time with all the necessary equipment and tools and set to work straight away. Half a day later the work all finished for the agreed price. The hand rail now rock solid. The site left clean and tidy. Also whilst working Jack was careful when tenants entered or left the building and there were no mishaps. Thank you for a great job.

Painting & Decorating- 5 Aug 2026
I hired him to paint multiple rooms, and after we agreed on a price, he sent me an invoice for twice the agreed amount, trying to charge me for his travel and other costs even though I provided all the tools. He did not clean anything after finishing, left the tools in a bag with paint so I had to throw them all away, took three days to paint three rooms, and did not remove the socket faces, curtain rods, or radiators, just painting around them. I had to paint again afterward as there were spots he missed, and you could see the difference in strong light; sadly, at the time, I had no good lighting, so I was not able to notice. He was working from 9 to 5 with a one-hour break at lunch and multiple breaks throughout the day; at least whenever I came to the property, he wasn't working and always had an excuse like, "I'm waiting for paint to dry," or "I just had a call." I wasn't asking for him to do nonstop work, but he billed me for the whole time despite our prior agreement.
