We hired this company to do our garden, they were not the cheapest quote, but they were available to start soon, which is the main reason we went ahead with them. Be aware that you will receive an estimate and not a fixed price. They will charge for day labour, materials, etc. The cost will have nothing to do with the original quotation. We were receiving invoices weekly, and by the third week, the invoices amounted to the whole original quoted price. We were told that the job was going to be completed in 10 days, after 21 days it was not even half of the work done, meanwhile, they are invoicing daily for their work. When we complained about it and explained that we were not willing to pay more than what was agreed (plus whatever extras we requested), they refused to finish the job and demanded payment. We even received a letter from their solicitors threatening us with legal action. Just to avoid having to deal with them, we made an agreement and paid for half of the job. We had to get another contractor who charged us to completely re make the garden works, basically we just threw several thousand pounds down the drainage. We would never recommend this company

Tradesman booked another job due to a misunderstanding and then failed to confirm when he suggested an alternative date. Went AWOL and didn't reply to text. Unreliable and not great at communication. Do not recommend. Used someone else to do the job.

Do not hire this guy. He started a work for me and left it unfinished after collection of £300 deposit following further request of payment different from initially agreed deal. His piece of work was not good and he is so unprofessional. The Police had to be called for him to leave my property.

We are very sorry to leave a negative review. But i cannot really find any thing positive to write about the completed job. Took too much of the door, which now looks terrible, even with filer and a lick of paint and the skirting boards have havent been put into place, despite the guy coming back to sort. I should really be asking for a refund. £130 paid and now my husband has to sort.

I'm a very happy and honest man who works hard and I only take up the job if I know I can fit it in, so you will never be let down. My main skill set is building bespoke outdoor furniture.

On contact with Josh he confirmed that he was capable of doing the job .He gave me a price I accepted and he came to do the job on Saturday 5/6/21 .Later that afternoon he said that he had finished for the day but would come back on Tuesday 8/6/21 with some wood edging to replace the ones he had taken off as they were rotten.He would trim and tidy everything up leaving the job finished to my satisfaction and he was also happy with.He never returned leaving me with a mess and a problem that friends and neighbours have had to sort out for me 2 weeks later.On checking further the felt on the shed roof was not on straight so affected overlap.The back side of the shed felt was not attached so just over hung ,too long of clout nails were used so went straight through shed roof causing damage to interior .I tried to be fair giving enough time to return to finish the job in the end I lost all confidence.

Did some good work but let us down when not accepting responsibility for his failure to commission a bore hole filtration installation that did not give us clear water for 6 months. We only found out when I employed and paid Anglian water to come out to check the system and they reported that it had never worked since installation as he did not open the air valve and so there was no chance that the iron could be put into suspension so the next cylinder could filter it properly. They opened the valve and the water is 70 cleaner - I suggest to Ben he paid £115 for the Anglian visit and install one 5 micron filter at his cost so we get the clear water he promised before being awarded the contract. I have not heard from him after this reasonable compensation request for 6 months yellow water that children will not bath in, guests are concerned with and will not drink. So would not hire him again

Caroline responded to my ad on 04/04 to say she would be available 11/04. I agreed to wait & gave her the job. 10/04 I contacted her (via txt), only to be told that she would not be doing my garden the next day. I replied saying I was disappointed with the sudden change of plan. I also told her that my landlord has threatened court action if the grass was not cut within three weeks. I then asked how soon will she be able to do it and how long will it take to do? It's now 23/04 and I am yet to receive a response. My time has been wasted!

Unfortunately I have to leave negative feedback for Leigh. He arrived early each day which was good, however, half way through my (extended) job he asked me to pay him half the amount owing which I immediately did. As soon as his bank transfer went through he informed me that he was going to walk away from the job :-( I have now had to emply a further tradesman to complete the job.

even though he did a good job he only came once, run over my lawn mower lead and had to repair it, which took a while. he never returned any of my calls then when i did get hold of him he had cut his finger with a chain saw (supposedly) and was unable to come but if i hadn't rung a second time i would have been left with no one, so if you want someone who is unreliable then he's your guy.

Matthew agreed a contract with us to work on the rear part of our garden. He worked from 8.30 till 1pm, then walked off the job without a word, and has not replied to emails or text messages since disappearing. We paid a deposit for materials, and our requests for a fair settlement have been ignored. We asked Matthew to dig a trench for an electric armoured cable and he was told at the outset it needed to be 30cm deep to meet regulations. He dug the trench to 20cm and took no notice when asked to make it deeper. His attitude was un-cooperative. Another part of the job was to lay a path around a greenhouse and he produced flimsy weed control fabric used in horticultural planting not something strong enough to lay under paths. When told this was inadequate for the job he replied that it was what he always used. I supplied him with my own driveway grade membrane. Matthew Creese was ill equipped for the job he agreed to do, did not stick to the specification agreed, argued when this was pointed out to him, and has not discussed a proper settlement with us. We strongly advise no-one to pay him a deposit. I will be taking legal action against him.
