Laertis is a top man and is a highly skilled professional electrician. It is evident when you speak to him, through his work, very neat finish. I am very happy to see the outcome of the electrical works that has elevated the ambience of the house to the next level. The lounge area has now got its new face after installing ceiling lights. Running new feed for the lights was never easy task, the new wiring was fitted with less disruption to the walls, this means less work for myself to touch up the surfaces later on, thanks to Laertis. This was possible because Laertis had to work his way through entry and exit points very carefully, patiently and more importantly not rushing through things when in doubt. After this Laertis replaced consumer unit that now looks so very neat but more importantly is now compliant and risk averse, the house is now secure. Other than this Laertis helped with other small installation works on the same day. Based on the outcome of the works I highly recommend Laertis to everyone

I found mr. Mark to be a very professional guy. Arrived promptly the next day, had a look at what was required to be done and gave me a quote. The work was done a few days later, as agreed, professionally, done clean cuts within the wall and added a lintle too. It finalised with the pointing over the bricks in the lintle area and left the place spotless once the job was finished. He even reduced, on his own accord, money from the original quote, as the job was done faster than he has anticipated. I will definitely employ him for future works and recommend him whenever i got the chance! Thank you again for your work Mark!

The brief we gave was to get change of use on the site and planning for as many units as possible. It was a very difficult site with 11 party wall issues, a dangerous structure fronting a public highway. The whole process was dealt with very professionally and successfully. We were taken through the planning procedures and felt confident and comfortable throughout the process. I am delighted with the final plans and the achievements made by Ackroyd and Assocs. Amrit was so helpful and informative on what needed to be done for my radiators to fit the valve I wanted. He talked me through all of my options and the potential costs of each which was great and helped me decide on what to do. Never turned up to do the job in the first place and then gave another chance and tried asking for more money than initially agreed, did an absolute abysmal job. Rubbish left everywhere, graffiti on the walls, poor plastering finish, plaster on painted walls, forgot to plaster the overhead of a wall and left a diabolical finish. Had a bad feeling and should have trusted my gut than have hired him.

Adam Favor and NOVA Design & Build are a nice bunch of guys and they are reliable/helpful. However, when it came to coving, architrave and flooring, acceptable standards were unfortunately not met. Other specialists had to be brought in to re-do around 20% of the job; namely certain sections of the cornice and door architrave. In the former, a few things were below standard including: 1) not joining the friezes in the correct places, 2) cutting inaccurately, 3) leaving gaps, 4) using silicon as a filler and adhesive. For the door architrave, the wood was misaligned and not glued/nailed properly. The flooring was not laid well because there are huge gaps at times; sometimes at 1 cm. Since the kitchen has been installed, it is too late to take up the floorboards again. The most dubious thing of all in this job was the quote received for decorating which was c. 15k for 47 m2. This included plastering repairs, but ultimately the job got done by someone else to a high standard at 7k.
