Outrageous and unethical behaviour. Had hired Alex to do some work on my bay window. The day he was meant to come, he never arrived and hours later I got a text to say he had a family emergency and was sorry he hadn't been in touch. I was very understanding and said I hoped everything was okay, and we can reschedule. We arranged for a week later. I texted him the Saturday before to make sure we were still on - to which Alex replied ".. Deffo! still def on for Monday." Monday came and when he was supposed to arrive I got a text to say he wouldn't be coming because the materials hadn't arrived (this is 15 minutes before HE was supposed to arrive). I asked him straight out if he actually wanted the job - and that it was totally fine if he was too busy or changed his mind, but that I've got an awful lot on my plate and just need to get someone in. He replied that he "100% still wanted to do it!".. so we rearranged again. I texted him the eve before to make sure we were still on. He replied "Yeah 100% still on, materials all loaded up. See you tomorrow!". No show again. This time no message. Phone off. Totally ghosted. I've been so reasonable the whole way through, and I've been put in an awful position now. Such a horrible way to treat people. There so many roofers on MyBuilder. Don't make the mistake of going with someone with only 2 reviews who might treat you the same. It's not okay. Unfortunately the work wasn’t completed to the standard we expected or achieved within the timescale due to a lack of preparation/organisation (3 full days). We have since had to contact an electrician to complete part of the job. The painting of our skirting boards needs corrections and we will now need to invest further time and money to finish the work needed.

Didn't finish the job and cut communication despite paying up. Took 9 weeks to not even complete a small bathroom. We're now left with an unfinished room having paid over what was quoted.

Nick has done a fantastic job for us. Nick and his team built our loft shell and extension roof. Nick went the extra mile when last minute changes were made to the plan to make it work. He also made an improvement to original design gaining us maximum space in the loft. The work has been done to a high standard, in a good timeframe and within the scope of the quote. Nick and his team were tidy when on-site and Nick kept us updated as to progress. If you looking for a specialist loft conversion Nick and his team are yours guys.

I do have a wide experience tiling (bathrooms, showers, kitchens, hall ways, ...), but I do other works as brick walls, stone walls, plastering, painting,..I have been working in the construction industry since 1999, but before I started, I was always around building sites where my dad used to work, so construction it has been part of life since I was a kid. Sometimes I don't use much this site because I am busy, so apologies if I don't answer quick enough.
