Marcin and Marios did a great job for us. We are really pleased with our new patio and fencing. We would have no hesitation in recommending Hortus to carry out landscaping work for other customers. They arrived on time, were very courteous and polite and very tidy on site. Their work was of a high standard and completed within the timescale agreed. Marcus also provided advice on planting and supplied plants for our raised bed which looks great.

Couldn’t fault the work that was carried out, he made sure everything was protected before starting (including the stairs and hallway leading up to the room he was plastering). Work looks fantastic and he left the place in the same state as when he found it. The lads a good character as well, we have even asked him for a quote on some more bits around the house.

External window resealing carried out, but preparation and finish were below expected standard. Old sealant and flaking surfaces were not fully removed, and sill/corner detailing was poor, raising durability concerns. I paid a reduced amount to reflect this. Recommend agreeing materials and preparation in detail before work starts.

Ashley was very easy to engage with. I found him to be personable and had no qualms about leaving him to work alone in my home. He did an excellent job in repairing and refurbishing a number of windows in my home. Some of which had been in quite poor condition. He was reliable and hardworking. Ash is clearly a skilled craftsman and I would unhesitatingly recommend his work skills.

I found Leonard very pleasant, helpful and thorough. Explained who he was and all about his business and even though a little on the pricey side, I felt quite confident he was doing a good job and reassured me that if there were any problems at all to contact him again. After wasting my time with a number of roofers who didn't seem interested, I posted my leaking roof on my builder. I had a good number of responses, NL Roofing have good reviews, and Nathan turned up to see the job exactly when he said he would. Unfortunately my 1953 roof was beyond repair, so I've had a whole new roof. The work carried out is of a high quality, with good materials and excellent craftsmanship. I'm very impressed with the rate of progress, the team worked very hard. And did a good job of clearing up all the mess at the end. However 3 weeks later the scaffolding was still up, I managed to track down the the owner of the scaffolding via "scaff police" on Facebook and gave R&L Scaffolding Ltd a call, they said they didn't know the scaffolding was finished with and came to collect the next working day... Its odd and frustrating to have been stuck with the scaffolding for so many extra weeks and as far as I can tell no reason.. that's why I've reduced my review to 4 stars.

It is a new build house we are doing. It is the first time we have worked together. Simon is very professional, thorough, very constructive about things - he is working for us as a main contractor. He has some good subcontractors and they work well together - tried and tested on site. He is good at managing them to get everything complete. He is doing a good job for us. He is competitive and is good at his job, I would recommend him.
