I am a West London based painter and decorator. The majority of my career was spent working for a well known London building company but I have recently decided to start my own business. Thumb Designs Limited was founded by Tom Back, carpenter and furniture designer with over 20 years experience. Tom worked as a joiner and a set carpenter for TV and film, before gaining a degree in Product and Furniture Design from Kingston University. All project aspects are carried out in house, from initial designs, technical design, production and installation. The process starts with an initial consultation, followed by designs, then technical designs showing all the details and sizes before the furniture is built in the South London studio before being installed in its final location.
