We were originally set up in 1968 as Paul Langan Builders, and I took over the business in 2005 changing the name to Langan Developments in latter years. We have many years experience but also keep up to date with modern materials and techniques. We undertake extensions, new house builds and renovations.

We made a decision to invite Steve and his team to provide us a quote following a recommendation from a neighbour for whom he had done work for a year earlier. They had nothing but praise for; - the initial quotation process - his reasonable pricing, honesty and fairness - the thorough and clear breakdown of the work - his approachability and adaptability - going the extra mile to access the right product - the general atmosphere on site. - the end product. We as neighbours also found them to be respectful and friendly when passing. We are pleased to say we received the same experience. Work began promptly after the contract was agreed and signed. We were in the fortunate position of being able to move in with a family member whilst the work was underway so undoubtedly avoided a good deal of the stresses that can come from living through an extension. At times we worried that being off site for the majority of the build meant we might lack the insight to judge any key decisions/deviations from the plan as work went ahead. However we were reassured to find Steve to always be contactable and willing to discuss and clarify matters to a level by which we were satisfied. Often at unsociable hours for him outside of the working day which proved helpful given our own work commitments, but really felt 'all part of the service' on Steve's part. Towards the latter stages there were a couple of completion 'snags' which took a little longer than anticipated to ensure completion of the project, however this is more a criticism of the unreliability of the subcontractors rather than Steve himself. This is also something Steve has remedied in due course as a result also. On the whole we are satisfied with the high standard of workmanship and the quality end product and absolutely love our new space. We felt the whole experience was like dealing with a good friend. We are therefore happy to highly recommend Langan Developments for any future building work you may be considering. Thank you.

Ian was really friendly, and excellent at what he did! I had a complicated patterned wallpaper for a pretty large wall and he did it perfectly. Would absolutely recommend, and will be hiring Ian again for more decorating jobs.

I couldn’t have wished for a better company, we are new to this area and didn’t know anyone to ask for recommendations so I turned to my builder. This company ( Craig and Phil ) did a wonderful job,listened to everything I wanted doing, and carried it out to the letter. Nothing was too much trouble. They cleaned up after themselves daily and took all the rubbish away at the end of the job. Thank you guys for a wonderful job. 10 out of 10

Dave Market (DMP Building Solutions) came originally to view a lounge extension I was intending on building but we agreed on a kitchen extension due to front elevation restrictions imposed by the council. He talked us through the process and gave us a very positive vibe. He put us in contact with a surveyor and we went through a lengthy planning process which stalled our build for approx 9 months. No fault of Dave. The build started in July and completed in October. Council Building Inspectors threw a few curve balls in and Dave also had a few personnel changes to his team during the build, however his dedication and professionalism never wavered from the goal. We now have a beautiful extension with a sloping roof incorporating a velux window. A nicely tiled floor and panelled ceiling along with new additional units, tiling, plumbing, woodwork, plastering all done to a very high standard. Where Dave finds issues or wants professional assistance he has a wide range of experts at hand including, roofers, electricians, gas specialist, window/door fitter, kitchen fitters. He doesn't make do with tasks he uses these professionals to ensure things are done right. The outside has been finished in matching brick and slate with white pvc pipework and guttering. All very easy on the eye. I'd recommend DMP solutions to anybody wishing to have an extension built and I'm sure other work would also be completed to just as high a standard.

We Could not be happier with our new tiles in our kitchen.They look absolutely beautiful and I can’t stop looking at them! Steven did such a great job... he wasn’t given the best surface to work on as our old tiles came off very uneven but Steven worked his magic by skimming and filling in the holes prior to laying the tiles, he also rebuilt our crumbling window ledge. Steven is a very friendly genuine man, my husband is so pleased that I have found him as now he can get out of doing jobs! Very quick, efficient, hardworking and goes above and beyond by even cleaning the area before he leaves. I got 5 quotes for this job and Stevens quote was the best one of them all, very reasonable. Thank you so much again and we will definitely be hiring you again!
