We booked Ashley Brumwell (Ash) through a friend to come and take down and replace a water damaged kitchen ceiling. He arrived prompt on the arranged day and set about laying down plastic sheeting and dust covers on the floor and kitchen units. He taped the unit doors and also the main door leading to the rest of the house. He removed the damaged ceiling with little effort and then had to wait for the electricians to do an electrical first fit, unfortunately they were held up on an emergency task and this knocked Ash's plans. After the electricians left he replaced the plaster boards with the aid of an associate: the real plastering skill then began. He worked hard throughout the afternoon stopping for the odd cup of tea. A considerate worker who kept us informed of his progress. He went about the task with quiet confidence, nothing was to much trouble, he demonstrated a high degree of professionalism through the job, his plastering skill and ability were beyond reproach. On completion, he removed all rubbish, removed the protective coverings and swept up leaving little mess (we were expecting a total mess). Ash was a consumate professional who took great pride in his work, we were totally happy with the out come. The job met all our expectations, he supplied all materials and proved to do a first class job for what we considered a reasonable fee. We have no hesitation in highly recommending him to any prospective employer and will no doubt use him again in the future.

Recently had a downstairs Wc and hall floor tiled by Scott and Mick. Scott was very reliable, turned up when he said he would, communication was great and the price excellent. The job has been finished to absolute perfection, you can tell Scott definitely takes great pride in his work and this is shown in the end result. Would 100% recommend Scott for any tiling work and will definitely use him again when we moved onto our next project.

Dave Market (DMP Building Solutions) came originally to view a lounge extension I was intending on building but we agreed on a kitchen extension due to front elevation restrictions imposed by the council. He talked us through the process and gave us a very positive vibe. He put us in contact with a surveyor and we went through a lengthy planning process which stalled our build for approx 9 months. No fault of Dave. The build started in July and completed in October. Council Building Inspectors threw a few curve balls in and Dave also had a few personnel changes to his team during the build, however his dedication and professionalism never wavered from the goal. We now have a beautiful extension with a sloping roof incorporating a velux window. A nicely tiled floor and panelled ceiling along with new additional units, tiling, plumbing, woodwork, plastering all done to a very high standard. Where Dave finds issues or wants professional assistance he has a wide range of experts at hand including, roofers, electricians, gas specialist, window/door fitter, kitchen fitters. He doesn't make do with tasks he uses these professionals to ensure things are done right. The outside has been finished in matching brick and slate with white pvc pipework and guttering. All very easy on the eye. I'd recommend DMP solutions to anybody wishing to have an extension built and I'm sure other work would also be completed to just as high a standard.

Couldn’t be happier with the garage conversion work completed by Liam. Liam turned up, as promised and on time for the quote and each day to the job. It was easy to discuss my requirements and he listened to what I had to say and gave suggestions when I was unsure. The work was completed on time (earlier than planned), mess was kept to a minimum and everything was to the initial plan. Alex came to fit window moulds, door moulds and skirting boards in knotty pine wood in our newly plastered living room. It all looked very nice initially. However, on closer look, some cheap and unsuitable ironmongerey was used on doors. The popping mechanism on doors isnt fixed properly and are not shutting doors as it should. Also, there are a few areas where the filling around door moulds has been forgotten about. And most of all, We werent very convinced of the knowledge Alex makes out he has regarding wood/timber. Due to his van broken, he had timber delivered, without checking it personally prior to the job. So when he came to do the job, he made out that the black marks on the skirtings were just dust and should come out with some sanding. However, they didnt and it seems more like they are black mould marks that might have left a deeper impression on the wood. And since we aren't planning on painting the wood. The marks are pretty hidious. We would have expected Alex to see to the problem before he fixed skirting to the plaster and offered a solution. He offered a solution after we pointed out that the marks are going after sanding, but he never came back to fix it and we have tried contacting him on number of ocassions and its been a month and a half now. So not happy with lack of knowledge, providing unsuitable ironmongerey and customer service side of things. Otherwise his work was not too bad.
