Kris made an absolute mess of a very basic job by not even turning up with the right tools. I gave exact measurements to Kris as to where to install the cat flap but every measurement was ignored - he even cut the hole of the cat flap upside down. Rather than bringing a drill to cut through the bricks cleanly he manually used a chisel and damaged every brick he touched and left a massive hole in the exterior. Cat flap was installed at wrong height, not straight and not flush to wall. He showed a complete lack of care about the whole job. I had covered the floor to protect my new flooring but he even removed that - leaving my floor covered in concrete. He brought a young apprentice who had special needs with him who spoke no English - rather than Kris communicate with me he simply spoke Polish to the kid. Kris showed a complete disrespect to my Victorian property - what he did was pure vandalism. I now have to get the wall re-built and get the cat flap installed properly.

Carpentry- 22 May 2026
I am extremely pleased with the work Michał from MBFrameworks has done. He took out an old staircase and measured it up to make a new one and replace the rotting stringer board and some skirting boards. The whole thing is expertly finished and looks fabulous. Michał was always very good at communicating with me what needed doing and when the works could be carried out. I would highly recommend him for high quality carpentry work and would use him again in future if needed. Thank you Michał, your work is highly appreciated.

Tiling- 23 May 2026
Peter deserves a 100/10 review — honestly one of the best tradespeople I’ve ever worked with. Peter completed all 4 of our bathrooms, including the tiling, a beautiful kitchen splashback, and laminate flooring, and the quality of his work was absolutely exceptional. His attention to detail is second to none — everything was finished to perfection, and you can tell he genuinely takes pride in his craft. What really sets Peter apart, though, is how professional and caring he is. From day one, he treated our home with respect and treated us like family — not just another job on his list. He was always punctual, communicative, incredibly hardworking, and went above and beyond at every stage. More than just doing the work, Peter offered amazing support and guidance throughout the build, giving us practical tips and advice that genuinely helped us make better decisions and avoid mistakes. That kind of honesty and care is rare. To put it simply: Peter is an angel. Reliable, skilled, trust

We had a great experience with Yasin Seven and his team. They provided great communication from the start, were able to come by and discuss our decorating needs in person, and were then flexible with the date, as part of the job was outside and therefore weather dependent. The jobs involved repair, plaster, and paint, both inside and outside, and they gave excellent advice as to the best realistic solutions. They completed the work in a timely manner and it looks fantastic. I highly recommend Yasin Seven and his team!

Civico did a number of jobs for me, including two bathroom renovations where they installed a Japanese toilet and a hydromassage bath, as well as underfloor heating, electrical work and some really nice tiling. They were always reliable and easy to deal with, and the standard of the work was very good. Even after everything was finished, they were happy to come back and help with small things when needed, without charging extra. I would definitely recommend them for bathroom work, electrical jobs and tiling.
