Johnny was very nice to deal with. When there were problems they were quick to find ways to rectify them. They started at short notice& finished on time which I was very impressive. We got a no. of quotes,Johnny was middle of the range but with a better level of service than others. Johnny was very open about when things might cost more &gave us the option if we wanted to proceed. A few things to note: -this was our 1st experience of any building work &we should have remembered they are builders, not designers -we both work long hours &so most days didn't see the team to get an update or brief them. This meant a few things were missed or miscommunicated - while most of the team were lovely the electrician used was horrible to deal with. He got very cross about requested changes, didn't deliver everything requested &just did silly things like putting in a light switch with 2buttons where there was only one Light or hanging lights incredibly low when we had given measurements of where we wanted them - we got Johnny's team to build some extra storage for us which on the whole was fine but some things weren't centred or for example the wine rack they built was wonky Overall, it was a good experience and we would recommend them but would suggest be home to oversee the work more than once a week (must be true of any building work!) and get your own electrician. Very happy to talk to people and give references-the house looks great now.

Danny installed two large traditional column radiators for me. He did a terrific job and suggested some great ideas to overcome a couple of challenges with one of the timber walls where the radiator was to go. He also went above and beyond the original remit to move some pipework (which we thought we'd already addressed) without hiking the overall price by much at all. Danny's quote was very reasonable and competitive. He worked tirelessly, and longer than expected - even with his first child being born the next day. He's really friendly, professional, neat and thoughtful. I would not hesitate in recommending him and I've already asked him to do the next job.

My kitchen needed upgrading to include a washing machine under the worktop. James Jo and Andy replaced the existing worktop with one I chose earlier and fitted a new stainless steel sink and mono tap. They removed one cupboard and the washing machine fitted like a dream. The workmanship was outstanding and a the old kitchen was removed by James. The kitchen was cleaner when the job was finished than when they started. I cannot fault the work carried out. The guys are professional friendly respectful and very easy to work with. I will have them again for any future projects. Thank you guys you are the best x

Bryan and his team have done a great job, transforming an ordinary concrete floor in the main feature of the house. We were using a specific concrete which is not quite common but they were able to achieve a top result. Highly recommend.

Wow! What a great job Paul and his 2 boys did. We had many quotes from different workmen for 11 windows but not 9 in our house. Paul gave us a reasonable quote, fixed a comfortable date and did a fantastic job. He promised and delivered quality windows. Paul seems a nice man and went out of his way to even fix something else without charging us. We ended up changing our front door that we didn't plan for because the man is really nice. He came back to fix a nice door for us. We have used many workmen in the past but Paul is exceptional. Thank you so much, Paul. Keep up the good work. Actually, another company came to change our garage door today, one of the staff looked round our house and asked if we just had our windows done. He said the company that did it for us did a very good job. We are so happy we didn't waste our hard earned money. It is the money well spent. I will not hesitate to recommend A1 Discount Windows to any home owners.
