Adam Favor and NOVA Design & Build are a nice bunch of guys and they are reliable/helpful. However, when it came to coving, architrave and flooring, acceptable standards were unfortunately not met. Other specialists had to be brought in to re-do around 20% of the job; namely certain sections of the cornice and door architrave. In the former, a few things were below standard including: 1) not joining the friezes in the correct places, 2) cutting inaccurately, 3) leaving gaps, 4) using silicon as a filler and adhesive. For the door architrave, the wood was misaligned and not glued/nailed properly. The flooring was not laid well because there are huge gaps at times; sometimes at 1 cm. Since the kitchen has been installed, it is too late to take up the floorboards again. The most dubious thing of all in this job was the quote received for decorating which was c. 15k for 47 m2. This included plastering repairs, but ultimately the job got done by someone else to a high standard at 7k.

We highly recommend Mario & his team. They fitted a new kitchen & bathroom to a really high standard within a short, timeframe. They work hard, are friendly, professional & honest, my neighbour even commented on how considerate they were! Upon first meeting Mario we were impressed by how organised he was. He arrived on time with the description we’d posted on my builder & went through it methodically. We had A LOT of questions! He answered all of them & didn’t rush us. We received a competitive quote within a day as promised. It included everything we discussed & he quickly answered our follow up questions. We wanted an accurate idea of the cost of electrical work & Mario arranged for his electrician to come & inspect/quote before we’d appointed Mario the job. Our kitchen & bathroom is complicated, with lots of difficult angles. Damp, unlevel floor, unlevel windows, a low ceiling were uncovered in the bathroom. Mario did well to identify solutions, giving us expert advice. Pipes were neatly chased into the wall. Underfloor heating & LVT, tiling, grouting & painting all done to a very professional finish. He kept us informed of progress, checked our preferences & was patient when we had supply delays, finding ways to ensure the job finished on time enabling us to move from our temporary accommodation back home in time for Christmas. He promptly fixed some minor issues after the job finished. We highly recommend Mario & would use him again.

Andrei is fantastic. He fully refurbished our flat (painting, new bathroom, new kitchen, rewiring, floors, sound isolation, doors) and did a truly excellent job. First of all, the quality of his work is outstanding, In addition, he is extremely reliable and hardworking. He offers excellent advice and insights too, which is enormously helpful especially during such a big project. The fact that he is a qualified electrician is also a big plus. Last but not least, Andrei is a really great person to deal with - always friendly, professional, reliable and really pleasant. We highly recommend him and will definitely work with Andrei again.

DO NOT HIRE THIS INDIVIDUAL. Poor and unprofessional service. I spoke with Carlos one week before booking the job and he told me to order the tiles. He arrived on the day of the job and was at my address for about 5 minutes before saying he needed to get some materials. He then left without returning and blocked my number from contacting him. Very unprofessional service.

The installation of the extractor fan and repalcement fuses in DB were done in a shabby fashion. I had to have remedial work done for the extractor fan and called the boss of the remediate the fuse 'sitting' within the DB. More worringly is that the humidistat extractor was installed to work only with the light switch. So for a shower room without a window, this has led to the build up of mould over time. Will have to get another electrician to install properly

A very experienced and competent electrician who knows exactly what he is doing. Leaves the work area as clean as he found it. No problem whatsoever with the conduct of his work or behaviour or attitude. Polite, respectful and friendly and patient and tolerant and accommodating. Gives good advice about the issues at hand, enough to make an informed choice. Not sure about his charges though, given the current unprecedented economic climate. We did a lot of research ahead of our loft build, and spoke to customers of the companies we looked at. We were impressed with Toma and her team from the outset, especially in terms of clarity and communication. We sat down with the project team at the start and walked through the week-by-week plan for our build, then a whatsapp group and weekly meets meant we knew exactly what was happening throughout. Our endless questions were responded to swiftly. Additional optional trade-ups (eg top-hung windows, larger bathroom window etc) were discussed and explained with context, sound advice (and clear pricing where nec) but always still optional. Toma's communication with the teams also seemed strong and continuous, with materials always arriving in time and ahead of when needed, no down-days etc - and importantly, the teams all seemed happy and were just lovely people to have around. I realise with hindsight too that the team's care and workmanship really put them a cut above many others in my area and the project remained on schedule. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ICS for the whole package and in fact we've also chosen to use them again for a kitchen extension.
