I have been a carpenter/joiner for four years now undertaking all aspects of the joinery including kitchen fitting,hanging doors,windows,skirting boards and floors. I also have experience dry-lining and stud walls.

At the start I found vasil friendly knowledgable and keen to get the job. He Quoted the whole job would take 4 days fand was the cheapest quote received but didn't finish on fourth day as expected. Stated he will be back on Wednesday but failed turn up and said later on he had To go work and would be over Saturday. Turned up Saturday with friend to complete the job. When he said he had finished I Went over the job and pointed out errors such as door hinges missing screws which he responded screws are rubbish instead of asking for new screws he was happy leaving a number of doors hanging with 1 screw on each hinge. Three of the six door stoppers were not pinned in level so the door either kicked out at the bottom of forward. Instead of just doing the adjustments he decided to argue saying I was looking for an excuse not To pay him. Refused leave my house until I paid him and was shouting so I called the police and he left prior to them arriving. Prior to starting He had never mentioned he wanted payment on daily rate until he finished first day work which I didn't like but agreed as his work was good. In summary His work is very good and I would prefer him to have completed the work and do adjustments but he attitude of someone making errors to avoid being paid is wrong. Made a little mess but cleaned up most of it. Would say use him if you can agree with payment terms and snagging on a daily basis.

I appointed Uptop downunder to complete some damp repair to a bay window that involved plaster removal and replacement after a damp course had been added. I found David and Greg who did the work very helpful. The quote was clear and reasonable, work was carried out in a very timely manner and all communications was quick and efficient between all parties. I would recommend them

Bart provided a reasonable quote (unlike others I received) and quickly fixed the date and time for the repair. He arrived on time and was fast in replacing the lightbulb holder (he brought the replacement). All worked fine and he then sent by email the invoice as requested. Kind and well mannered. Quite happy with everything and would use again.

Gianni and his friend did an amazing job on our garden grass and planter. They came to see the garden before providing us with the quote. They were very professional, punctual thorough and quick. Maldiny’s team carried out external redecoration / restoration of a substantial four storey Georgian house in Blackheath, to an exceptionally high standard. Maldiny is an absolute professional, who attended site regularly throughout the day to supervise his tradesman and check that I was happy with progress. His team are clearly skilled, as the work included reinstating period masonry features, restoring a lot of sash windows and refurbishing a very rusty metal staircase. What impressed me most, was Maldiny’s flexibly to reorganise his work around the scaffolding contractors (not his firm), who were late finishing and the needs / wishes of the six flat owners. I would strongly recommend MC’s Building Services and I know they have had interest from another, similar house in the road. The final thing I would add is that Maldiny always responds promptly to calls / messages and things don’t get forgotten - a rarity, in my experience!
