It didn’t. Came on day, made a whole host of excuses walked out and told husband he wasn’t coming back. There was however, some issues on our side our fish tank that we moved pump stopped working ( my husband needed to fix as was concerned regarding the fish, nothing that couldn’t have been worked around. He could of spent time starting at the other side of the room and also apparently told my husband to leave the room and my husband wouldn’t ( I did try to explain my husband wears hearing aids and may not have heard you, especially if there is background noise) completely dismissed my explanation. If he had spent time communicating his feelings it could have been sorted but instead walked out. Bear in mind the job was for £380 took 50% deposit and wouldn’t even consider some sort of refund. we paid £190 for two hours work. We wouldn’t have expected to work for nothing. Threatened me that he had took photos of if I leave a bad review. Seems he has answers for everything. Don’t touch.

Very pleasant and friendly guy however the painting was way below standard, skirting boards and walls and ceiling painted to a low standard. No masking tape was used so had grey wall paint going into the white ceiling and vice versa. No straight edges on ceiling or skirting boards as he didn’t bother to use masking tape. I was quoted an amount and he said it would take one day, I asked him over the phone are you sure you can do it in one day he said yes which I thought was not realistic, anyway after the first day he saw it would take half day extra so he asked me to pay him nearly an extra 50% more of the price that was quoted which I declined because I had gone ahead with the work based on his quote. If he misquoted then that’s not on me. He had quoted to apply undercoat to the walls which he didn’t. Skirting boards were not prepped properly so ended up with a bad finish on them and can see the previous colour underneath. I’ve had to spend hours and hours trying to fix these things to make it look decent. If I could attach pics I would to show the quality of work, disappointed to say the least I could have took my time and done a better job if I knew the end result would be like this.

Type of works i am experienced in would be dot and dab , Patching and skimming , plasterboarding and damp proofing . I also trained as decorator, so i am able to take on small jobs for that too . I take pride in my work and being punctual and honest . I also dont mind giving advice if i can .

Over 20 years experience in the construction industry starting at age 16 doing carpentry & joinery, which involved shopfitting,site joinery and bench joinery(floors,doors,skirting boards,windows etc then some years later moved on to groundworks,the skills I learnt while groundworking,block paving,flagging,porcelain tiles,kerbing,drainage,foundations,brickwork, fencing,landscaping,i started tiling kitchen floor's at first due to laying porcelain tiles out doors,then on to tiling walls.
