Adam came in to do some flooring for us and was professional from start to finish, as well as being very reasonably priced. Communication was good, as was the standard of his work. I really cant find fault with anything, which is unusual for me! I wouldn't hesitate to use Adam again for any future works. I really cant recommend him enough.

I work on bespoke interior design projects but on this app i tend to take on smaller jobs (due to the nature of the app): repair jobs, either furniture or interior repairs, floor sanding, plastering, tiling, fitted cupboards etc…. John Wardle and his crew did a magnificent job on our bath and shower rooms. We took a chance on Johnny, as being new to My Builder he didn’t have any reviews. Johnny’s assurance that he only did one job at a time was a big plus. Johnny tackles everything with an engineer’s eye. Our bathrooms job turned out to be far more difficult than first thought. Our very quirky stable conversion, last updated decades ago, was challenging. Once the work started it was discovered that the old Velux windows in the bathroom had been secretly leaking behind the tiles for years causing water damage to the joists and walls. A sheet of glass was discovered sandwiched in the stud wall and tiles had been tiled on top of tiles! It was very distressing to see walls, floors and ceilings having to be torn down to fix the problems, but it was comforting to know that Johnny and his crew knew exactly how to do the best restoration job. Johnny contracted in electricians and a heating engineer and organised things so that everything ran smoothly. Everyone worked really well together. All those working in our house were a pleasure to have around: they worked hard, were respectful and friendly. Having confidence in those doing the work made a potentially unbearably stressful situation a lot easier to cope with. We now have a fantastic bathroom and shower room which exceed our original expectations. We are very grateful to John Wardle and his crew and have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

I was very pleased with this company so much so that they are starting a new job for me November 15. The building firms carried out a full loft conversion for me installing bathroom, brickwork, joinery, plastering, Roofing and installation of windows and double glazed doors. I have high standards and want everything to be completed in the same way, the workmen respected my home and always left if clean. My main contact was with the owner of the company Dwight Lynch, he was very flexible and Nothing was too much for him to do. He has an attitude which I like in a builder "customer not always right but must be happy" he provided me with ideas along the way and where things did not go to plan due to my own instructions he worked around the issue and provided suitable alternative options. I was very happy with the pricing of the job and feel that certainly I would recommend him and also I would use him again. He and his workmen were all trust worthy and I gave them keys to my house to carry-out work whilst I went on holiday. I had no concerns when I came back everything was as I left it.

We hired this electrician to do new wiring for the spot lights and replacement of the circuit board along with other changes. I must say it was a big mistake! It seems he doesnt know what he was doing. He couldnt finish some of the jobs, very messy guy, does not clean after what he has done (left all the cut wires, boxes on the floor), kept making huge holes to do the wiring and didnt put them back after. We had to paint the majority of the sections three times just because he kept coming back to amend his work and created more holes, loose wiring. The wiring which was suppose to be 2 way- didnt work so the switches are left dormant, the circuit board keeps tripping, existing appliance which were working fine before all of a sudden doesnt work and he blames the old wiring. Turned off the outdoor electricity and never plugged the wires again. Left the whole place in a mess. When we moved in, twice we had a black out (major concerns as there could be loose wire which could cause fire) when we texted and emailed him and till date he has not responded. In the end when he eventually gave the EICR certificate, it was all wrong and he omitted most of the works he actually did. We sent him an email and messages to which he hasnt responded till date. I would not recommend him to anyone so avoid engaging him unless you want to experience what we did and have your house unsafe.

Courtney fitted my integrated fridge freezer and moved an existing kitchen cupboard as part of the work, and I’m really impressed with how seamlessly everything now fits into the kitchen. Both the fridge freezer and the cupboard he moved blend in so well with the existing units. He also helped me with a couple of smaller jobs while he was here. Before doing the work, he spent about an hour going through everything and answering questions and talking through various other jobs around the flat that I’m planning to have done in future. He is clearly very knowledgeable. I’m really pleased with the work he’s done and have already arranged for him to come back and help with more jobs.

I instructed the level of the walls and gable to be built up to. The brickwork was covered in hessian and I paid him after he said that it was all done. After he departed, I looked under the hessian and the gable was not built up to apex. One area was not built up where it needed only a couple of courses and the other bricked up wall was left lower than I had stated. I phoned Nick and he sent his brother to finish the job next day. The 2 sides of the gable are still at different angles and the brick work is still lower than I had asked for on the other walls. This was not a big job. Only needed a few courses of brick work to level off as the building has been derelict for a few years. My view was that no one will risk a negative review and that is why I paid him. Unfortunately I was let down at a critical moment as the pitch roof chippy was following the bricklayer on this job. Very sad as he could have been engaged on other brickwork on this building.
