John was a good discovery through My Builder. We could trust him and he was very anxious to do a good job for us. Although the job turned out to be far more complicated than any of us had expected, he was unfazed and gave all his efforts to work with us to resolve the problems. He is a man of integrity and easy to get on with. We would use him again.

Very keen to do a good job. Turned out slightly tricky on levels but they kept at it and constructed a path which does the job and enables a wheelchair to run along the side of our house with a small ramp down into the garden. Have given an informal warranty if we get any settling over the next few months to come back and reset the paviours. As always ensure you agree a written specification with your tradesman so you and they know what you want and its clear what you are getting. We did this with Simon.

  Painting & Decorating- 11 Jul 2022

I selected A.K Decorators on the basis of my discussions with Armando, regarding his work experience and the standard of the work, as shown in his photographs. I was initially concerned as despite his many years of experience, there were no reviews of his work on this website. However I understood that he has recently relocated to this area and most of his recent work has been local and through word of mouth. I am delighted that we selected Armando, his work was meticulous, his preparation of surfaces through and the quality of finish was to a high standard. In addition to painting the external walls of the house, we asked Armando to extend his work of painting to the soffits and facias and the metal rails and gate. All his work is commendable and good. I would definitely recommend his work and would have no hesitation in using him for other projects myself. His professionalism was reflected in his timeliness, his communication and the feedback he provided during the course of his work, with regular photos and videos of the progress of his work as well as the finished job. As the rented property is at some distance from where we live, this was incredibly helpful. Our tenants found him to clean, reliable and friendly.

Firstly Rob turned up exactly on time, which these days seems to be a thing of the past. He worked solidly until the job was finished and only took one break. The walls were very smooth when he had finished and his attention to detail in obtaining the required finish was quite obviously of utmost importance to him. He took his time and did the job right. I would recommend him to anyone 100%.
