Coastal Roofing Solutions is a local roofing business based in Brighton. It is run by Patrick Ross as a sole trader, established in 2008 and fully insured (public liability). We work on homes and small commercial properties across Brighton, Hove and Sussex, from the city out to Shoreham, Lewes, Newhaven and up to Hassocks and Burgess Hill. What we do Roof repairs. Leaks, slipped or broken tiles and slates, loose ridges and verges, failed flashings and storm damage. Many Brighton terraces have hidden valley (butterfly) gutters behind a front parapet; these are a common leak point and we inspect and repair them. Re-roofs. If scaffolding is needed for safety we will tell you before you commit, and if a repair makes more sense than a replacement we will say so. Local knowledge The housing around Brighton is varied: Regency and Victorian terraces in Kemptown, Hanover and central Hove; Edwardian bay-fronted houses around Preston Park; 1930s semis in Patcham; and bungalows and chalet bungalows in Saltdean, Peacehaven and Woodingdean. Coastal wind and salt air are hard on mortar, lead and fixings, while inland towns like Hassocks and Burgess Hill see more moss on concrete tile roofs. I'm a self employed cabinet maker/joiner and site carpenter. I started at 17 in a workshop in Essex then moved to London in 1986 and worked for Jo Dixon joinery. In that era I worked on several architectural jobs with Kevin McCloud, made a pair of colonial chairs for Jeffrey Archer, a kitchen for Timothy Dalton, and an 11 meter veneered dining table for Mme Schulmberger in Paris, Part of a major £3m refurbishment to her apartment. I now work at my home based workshop in Shoreham.

Hello, I would like to introduce myself and my services. I can carry out various tasks around the house or work place. I am capable in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, security systems, Locksmiths and jobs around the garden. I have built my own tradtional timber framed house from the ground up and carried out all works in the process. I have also built many shepherds huts for camping and built cabins for use as summer houses, workspace etc. I have also installed my own septic tank systems in France where I have converted a barn to lliving space.
