6 months on I only managed to paint the walls due to other commitments. I have to honestly say that the skimming of the walls was poorly done. There are lots of dips and uneveness all over the walls. I am not happy. This person promised to ensure that the walls will be smooth and even in order not to necessiate any sanding prior to painting. I feel I have been ripped off considering the amount that I paid. Furthermore, he opened the door to my front room without my knowledge which resulted in a vast amount of dust on all of my possessions. Had I'd known he would need to open the door I would have used dust sheets to cover my belongings and furniture. He made sure that he had closed the door back again in the hope that I would not notice. It's the lack of consideration to protect other peoples possesions and property that gets me. Also the fact that he went into my front room is open to suspicion. I would not use this person again.

TOOK THE MONEY AND NEVER CAME BACK TO FINISH THE JOB Ben come in the first place for a tiling job but I ended up hiring him to fix the laminate floor in the living room and entrance as he claimed to be an expert. Ben rushed the job one evening when I told him he could do it over 2 days if necessary. He started cutting the laminate inside the house in our brand new kitchen, next to our brand new carpet. When my parents in law asked him if he could cut outside, he was very rude to them. Ben left spaces for door bars when we specifically asked him not to at certain places then said he did not have the door bars with him but will come back to finish the job as he was within the area for the next 2 weeks. He insisted to be paid on the spot which I did, trusting him to come back to fix the 3 door bars. I have an unfinished living room because he suggested we should put door bars which he knew we did not have. Even the beading has not been ordered in enough quantity and is unfinished. Like he says on his own web page, you should never pay a builder in full until the job is completely finished... I called him numerous times over the next two weeks and he finally replied to one of my emails with a lot of excuses and reasons that he has never brought up before. The professional attitude would have been to discuss the topic but he chose to ignore us for 2 weeks and to leave us with an unfinished living room. Very bad experience. STAY AWAY!
