Exquisite Design and Build recently reworked and refurbished our new, six bedroom detached house, having previously completed a kitchen extension at our last property. Andrei’s work is of an incredibly high standard. He shows great attention to detail throughout the entire process. Not only does he execute the work beautifully, but he offers great design ideas and and suggestions. With regard to contracting, pricing and invoicing, Andrei provides clear and accurate documentation which gives us complete trust in his ability to work within our budget. Andrei and his team are an absolute pleasure to work with; hardworking, punctual and tidy. I have recommended them to three other friends, all of whom chose to work with him on their extension/refurbishment projects and were equally delighted with the results. I would not hesitate to recommend Exquisite Design and Build to anyone, regardless of the size and complexity of their project.

Painting & Decorating- 4 Dec 2024
Could not recommend more highly, the best client service and product I have ever received. This is a father and son team who absolutely shattered expectations - we genuinely consider ourselves so lucky to have found David and his father and couldn't be happier with their service. On the first meeting their expertise was immediately obvious, with just a single walk through of the property being enough for them to identify what we needed and pick up on details that only comes from years and years of practical experience. That set the tone for rest of the relationship, with there being so many instances of them going out of there way with no other intention than to provide the best client outcome possible. Here are just a few examples that show their genuine client care and professionalism: - David was constantly available on WhatsApp or the phone to answer questions or provide advice with almost instant responses. I don't think I've ever experienced better client service in any context. - David and his dad personally ran around London for days trying to find replacement doors that fit the frames, picked up paints from the store, found and purchased appropriate fittings like door stops, light switch covers etc. - these small things were taken care of us with just us needing to approve options they found in store. It was a massive time and stress saver for us. - we were doing this on the fly so evolved our requirements almost constantly throughout the project - these were always accommodated and not only that, with such a positive and helpful attitude that it made our lives so much easier - when retiling the bathroom they informed me they would have to take the cabinets out to tile underneath - I suggested they could tile around it but insisted that it should be done in case we ever wanted to replace the cabinet. They did this at no extra cost to ourselves, just extra work for them which underscores their professionalism. - they gave proactive advice on so many aspects of the project, including the most appropriate paints and floor varnishes, proactively identifying design faults that we were not aware of and remediating them (e.g. very oddly placed light switches), identified a pretty shoddy job of repairing a leak in the loft and future proofed it for us which is again something we would never have been aware of until another leak occurred, they even proactively put a small sliding door into the bathtub panelling (no extra cost) to ensure any future plumbing issues could easily be investigated. - they were unbelievably clean which was such a nice bonus - the property was immaculate at the end of every day, and for me that showed a level of respect for clients and the property that is so hard to find. - measurements - they took care of all of these for us , including tile measurements, blinds, garden edging etc. - it was such a luxury to be able to just be told how much of each needed to be ordered and they were 100% accurate - again such a time and stress saver for us. These are just some examples of our experience, I can honestly say that this is the lever of service we received throughout. With such an amazing service you might think that they would have charged a premium. This was not the case, in fact the opposite, I could easily see another contractor charge 2-3 times what we paid, and it is particularly impressive when you consider the flawless finishing and breadth of work they undertook - the whole house repainted (walls, ceilings, cabinets), the flooring sanded and revarnished plus carpet upstairs taken out and floorboards repaired, painted and varnished, garden landscaped, bathrooms retiling, fireplace retailing, toilets replaced, light switches rewired etc - it was a full makeover. They also achieved all this in 2 weeks - that is no mean feat but is even more impressive when you consider that our requirements were constantly evolving - they took all in their stride and just replanned sequencing of activities to accommodate us. We have since passed David's details onto no less than 5 friends who have all been absolutely delighted, so we've put our recommendation into practice!

Vasile replaced the decking on my front and back roof terraces, and I can't recommend him highly enough. His quote was competitive, and though it was several months before I decided to go ahead, he stuck to it and did an excellent job. He was flexible in working around my time schedules and the weather, and when there was some snagging to resolve at the end, he came over immediately to deal with it. He was also friendly and trustworthy throughout. Wouldn't hesitate for a moment before using him again, and neither should you - top marks.

Restoration & Refurbishment- 27 Mar 2022
Ricky Reid I was looking for a company who could help me with a light refurbishment (kitchen, bathroom and full decoration) of a one bedroom flat in south west London to be ready for rental within 15 days. I posted my ad request on mybuilder.com and a few companies contacted me. Ricky Reid, was the third one I met and eventually the one I chose. Why? R. was straight forward, no gimmicks and did his best to understand what my needs were from day one. Especially when my vision at the start wasn’t that clear. Him and his team delivered within the time frame agreed as well as within the quote given plus a few extras that hadn’t been considered at the start of the project. He was always available for questions or clarifications needed over the phone at any time! A rare quality in itself in the building world. If there was anything that could be improved, this would be clarifying certain jobs that were on the quote (and I mean specifically what they exactly covered) from the start to avoid stingy or unexpected surprises cost wise. However this isn’t Ricky’s fault and I take my full responsibility as I should have done my homework before hand. Overall satisfied with the result and I would certainly contact Ricky and his team for my next future projects and so should you reading this review. Thank you Ricky and all the best in your company venture.

The brief we gave was to get change of use on the site and planning for as many units as possible. It was a very difficult site with 11 party wall issues, a dangerous structure fronting a public highway. The whole process was dealt with very professionally and successfully. We were taken through the planning procedures and felt confident and comfortable throughout the process. I am delighted with the final plans and the achievements made by Ackroyd and Assocs. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with them again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

We hired "Colours": Maurice and his crew, to paint the outside of our terraced house. Each one of the 4 guys who worked here was great: polite, personable and reliable. Clearly all of them cared about doing a good job. They were thorough and worked hard and kept me informed throughout. They returned to patch up some slight flaws from when the scaffolding was taken down. They were competitively priced and completely trustworthy. I thoroughly recommend them and would certainly use Colours again.

Garden Maintenance- 24 Sep 2026
Mario was excellent from start to finish. He did a fantastic job clearing and tidying our garden, which had become very overgrown and neglected, and the difference is honestly incredible. It looks like a completely different garden now. Everything was left extremely tidy afterwards. I am genuinely very impressed with the quality of his work and would absolutely recommend him.
