When you introduce yourself tell them how you were intrigued or interested in how they executed XYZ. When they finish telling you about the process , then advise what you do and how it is related and how you can help. Make the connection and show how what you know and can offer will in fact benefit them. Try not to make it like a sales pitch. Be casual about it

Fully qualified plumber to NVQ level 2, and been working in the industry for more than 4 years now I undertake any aspects of plumbing installs and repairs.
