TOOK THE MONEY AND NEVER CAME BACK TO FINISH THE JOB Ben come in the first place for a tiling job but I ended up hiring him to fix the laminate floor in the living room and entrance as he claimed to be an expert. Ben rushed the job one evening when I told him he could do it over 2 days if necessary. He started cutting the laminate inside the house in our brand new kitchen, next to our brand new carpet. When my parents in law asked him if he could cut outside, he was very rude to them. Ben left spaces for door bars when we specifically asked him not to at certain places then said he did not have the door bars with him but will come back to finish the job as he was within the area for the next 2 weeks. He insisted to be paid on the spot which I did, trusting him to come back to fix the 3 door bars. I have an unfinished living room because he suggested we should put door bars which he knew we did not have. Even the beading has not been ordered in enough quantity and is unfinished. Like he says on his own web page, you should never pay a builder in full until the job is completely finished... I called him numerous times over the next two weeks and he finally replied to one of my emails with a lot of excuses and reasons that he has never brought up before. The professional attitude would have been to discuss the topic but he chose to ignore us for 2 weeks and to leave us with an unfinished living room. Very bad experience. STAY AWAY!

John is a super guy! He made it all very straight forward he was 100% reliable, he didn’t rush any part of the job and very kindly cut the old carpet up into 1 meter widths so that we could bring it to the tip saving the cost of scrapping it. He got all the little details perfect and came back to fix the carpet down where we had to wait for a trim around the hearth to be sorted. Nothing was too much trouble for John. I would really recommend him without hesitation.

6 months on I only managed to paint the walls due to other commitments. I have to honestly say that the skimming of the walls was poorly done. There are lots of dips and uneveness all over the walls. I am not happy. This person promised to ensure that the walls will be smooth and even in order not to necessiate any sanding prior to painting. I feel I have been ripped off considering the amount that I paid. Furthermore, he opened the door to my front room without my knowledge which resulted in a vast amount of dust on all of my possessions. Had I'd known he would need to open the door I would have used dust sheets to cover my belongings and furniture. He made sure that he had closed the door back again in the hope that I would not notice. It's the lack of consideration to protect other peoples possesions and property that gets me. Also the fact that he went into my front room is open to suspicion. I would not use this person again.

Paul's work is of a very high standard at a reasonable rate. He skimmed a through lounge, hall & landing ceilings & two walls all in one day after prep work the day before. He also finished off a fireplace project I hadn't managed yet. He is very friendly, clean working & helpful, giving advice on other decorating chores I still have to do. I highly recommend you add Paul to your short list for plastering needs, you will not be disappointed. We will certainly be using Paul's skills again when the next project arises.

Unfortunately, what I assumed would be "summer pruning" to keep the shape of shrubs during the winter -became "autumn pruning" - which encourages new growth!! It was not completed either! The 2 little patios were pressure washed, after all the leaves were cleared & patio cleaner applied, but did not get a patio seal!! The windows & gables never got touched!! I paid £150 for 2 persons working for about 8 hours! (as everyone is short of money these days) Unfortunately, they never came back to finish the jobs on another day!!

We found Mat a pleasure to do business with. He communicated well and listened to what we wanted, to ensure he produced the desired outcome within the agreed timescale. We are extremely happy with the bunk bed that he made for us, which is identical to one we already had. He worked flexibly, even managing to fix some posts and rope rails on a decked area during his visit. We would definitely use him again.

Jamie contacted me and we arranged a time for him to come and look at the problem. He turned up on time and identified the cause of the problem. He got back to me with his quote which was reasonable and I accepted it. He gave me a date for the work to be gone which I wasn’t able to meet but we arranged a suitable date. He turned up on time, got to work straightaway and kept me informed of his progress. After he had finished the job he tidied up after himself leaving no mess. He gave advice on the steps I should take regarding the redecoration of the affected area and messaged me his suggestion what paint to use. I was impressed with the whole service Jamie provided and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again if the need arose.

We would highly recommend Arron Kerr. He has done a first class job erecting a fence even in the bad weather we have had these last few days. Nothing was to much trouble for him he checked with us all along how we wanted the fence to look. He was very helpful and did exactly as we asked. Really pleased with the work he did.
