We did a lot of research ahead of our loft build, and spoke to customers of the companies we looked at. We were impressed with Toma and her team from the outset, especially in terms of clarity and communication. We sat down with the project team at the start and walked through the week-by-week plan for our build, then a whatsapp group and weekly meets meant we knew exactly what was happening throughout. Our endless questions were responded to swiftly. Additional optional trade-ups (eg top-hung windows, larger bathroom window etc) were discussed and explained with context, sound advice (and clear pricing where nec) but always still optional. Toma's communication with the teams also seemed strong and continuous, with materials always arriving in time and ahead of when needed, no down-days etc - and importantly, the teams all seemed happy and were just lovely people to have around. I realise with hindsight too that the team's care and workmanship really put them a cut above many others in my area and the project remained on schedule. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ICS for the whole package and in fact we've also chosen to use them again for a kitchen extension.

Jon did some ceiling repair work for us following a leak from the upstairs flat. He came round at short notice to look at the work before sending over a quote, then was helpful in getting everything scheduled in. He was really friendly and talked through the work he would undertake. Unfortunately we had to delay the work by a few months due to the lockdown, but he was really accommodating at getting a new date sorted and we were pleased with the work he did. Would use again!

We hired Build2Finish (Andy Kerik) to work in a renovation project in our recently bought house. Due to time constraints we could not project manage the works and we were looking for a Principal Contractor that could help us on that front as well. We interviewed a few contractors and we were impressed by Andy’s professionalism and approach to the works. After all formalities and due diligence were done, Andy was able to deploy a team in less than 4 days. As the works started, we suddenly realised there was a lot more to do than originally intended. Unexpected things happened (structural slab at hallway cracked, all ground floor joists were rotten, unexpected levels of rising damp, etc.) and the small job grew quite a lot. At each new milestone, Andy was always reassuring and helped us to stay on top of the works and budget as much as possible. I could go at lengths about each and every element of the job, but maybe is better to say that the works were finished on time and as much in budget as possible taking into account how much more we decided to do along the way (more built in cabinets, underfloor heating, etc.). As with every construction project there were highs and lows. Andy was always extremely professional and was able to manage his sub-contractors and defuse situations that could have made the project take longer and the budget to go out of control. I cannot recommend Andy enough and I am sure his business will continue to grow, so book him with time!

Mark was brilliant, I had a problem with the patio door lock, so I advertised the job on MyBuilder and Marks reply was very positive and honest. He visited, changed the lock and rather than replacing the mechanism which was not operating correctly, he took it back to his workshop and fixed it, nobody does that anymore. I had 3 quotes, his was the best. He is reliable, honest and very reasonably priced. 100% recommend and will use him again, if needed. Top bloke!

We are very happy with the painting and filling work that James did in our bedroom. Compared to other decorators we have had in the past, we could see that James knew his trade and possessed good techniques to give a professional finish to his work. We had some issues with wallpaper bubbling up and cracking but he was able to fill-in those areas, and then painted over them. He did an excellent job so we couldn't see those problem spots anymore. James was very polite and respected our wishes in terms of keeping our new carpet clean. We would definitely recommend him as we plan to use him again in the future.
