David did an excellent job for me, laying tiles in two hearths in a classic victorian style. David is a really skilled and professional tiler, he has a lovely manner and is a real gentleman. Our 3 bedroom, Grade 2 listed house is nearly 200 years old and hadn't been renovated since the early 1990's. A complete redecoration and remodel was needed. Their work was done to completion and not too over-time, despite numerous snags and many logistical difficulties. The commitment and patience of all involved was admirable, never once becoming dis-heartened, and always pushing us to make sure materials were on order and if we were happy with the work as it progressed. They have the skills and the ability to improvise as they go. The pricing was fair and actually cheap by London standards. The "finish" was the stage where we all had to come to an agreement over where to stop, and this is usually the most contentious stage in a project. This was surprisingly stress-free. The main snag was with floorboard sanding preparation. If floors aren't 100% prepped, the result can look patchy to the trained eye. They made sure that the end result was acceptable to us when we questioned the finish by doing the entire sand and re-staining over again. That shows great care and attention to customer satisfaction. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have extensive remodeling done to thier property. They are capable of dealing with sensitive historical properties and adhering to a budget whilst correcting errors that appear along the way. A perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness.

Conversions - General- 29 Dec 2021
We struggled to get anyone interested in our refurbishment project originally, Mark answered an ad for a small part of the job and ended up being able to take on the whole thing thankfully. Our project was to completely strip out a 1960's maisonette flat, install internal insulation which involved extensive battening of all the external walls, new plasterboarding & plastering finishes to walls and ceilings, tiling and a completely new bathroom and kitchen install. To complicate things further, as enthusiastic DIY-ers we wanted to do lots of works ourselves as well and few builders would have worked alongside novices as well as Mark did. He was always happy to give advice or take over works when we realised they were beyond our skills or time ;-) Our project was constantly evolving and challenging - as we discovered hidden rotting floor joists and the joys of 60's engineering - door lintels - who needs those?! Mark was always there to help us problem solve and get the job done professionally and to high standards and this was all done throughout the challenging last year of lockdowns etc. Without hesitation we'd recommend Mark and his team. He was always reliable, flexible as the project developed and had excellent attention to detail and we couldn't have completed our project without him. Thank you Mark!

Wendy was a pleasure to work with. I trusted her to leave her to do her work, and she took the time needed to do it well and tidy up. I had Wendy tile my entire kitchen backsplash and a small part of my bathroom wall. The work was done perfectly and at a reasonable cost. It's rare you get women in the industry and it was a refreshing change to have her in the house!

I'm incredibly happy with the job Basit did for me. He is extremely polite, professional and experienced. His prices are incredibly reasonable and the professional service he provides makes it even feel like you are getting a bargain. Basit contacted me and arranged to come to my house to give an estimate, he was on time, courteous and knowledgeable. He gave me a quote and arranged a day he could do the work. On the day, he arrived on time and started straight away. He was very tidy and respectful, making sure not to leave a mess. He tested everything was working and demonstrated it to make extra sure. He also charged the estimate, no hidden costs, despite the work being a little more complicated than initially thought. I would 100% recommend Basit to anyone who needs an electrician and definitely if you want to put in ethernet ports to better connect your home. I will be using his services again.

A+++ Highly recommend this guy! Honest, reliable and finishes all jobs nicely! Although we initially hired him for just a bathroom tiling job, we were so thrilled with his work that we have hired him back for various jobs (carpentry, plastering and skimming) around the house. In a world full of sh!t builders, you can count on this guy to do the job thoroughly at a fair price.
