I'm Tom, the person behind Furze & Fix — a local handyman service based in Furzedown, South London. I've been hands-on with DIY and home improvement projects since studying Design & Technology at school, and over the years that's grown into a genuine passion for building and fixing things properly. I've increasingly been taking on professional work and am now looking to offer my services more widely. I offer a range of general handyman services but my particular strength is joinery — things like decking, shelving, and general woodwork, where I take pride in getting the details right. I'm also happy to help with furniture assembly and general home fixes. By trade I'm a chartered engineer with a mechanical engineering degree, so accuracy, proper planning, and doing a job to a high standard aren't optional extras for me — they're second nature. I don't currently take on electrical or plumbing work, but for anything in the carpentry, assembly, or general handyman space, I'd love to help. I'm continuing to build a reputation job by job, so you can expect care, reliability, and a tidy finish every time. I'm new to the mybuilder platform so don't have any reviews here as yet, but references from previous jobs available on request.

There are many services I can provide to customers. The main jobs I specialise in are handy man jobs, painting and decorating, installations, electrical jobs and plumbing. Last 5 years I worked and still work for Garrard Building and Construction Ltd The jobs we were carried out were from ground work to painting. We can do plastering, tiling, wallpapering,flooring, carpentry, brickwork. Before I was working for Prime interiors from 2004 to 2014 and it was a job at council properties, where we did refurbishment of kitchens and bathrooms.
