Very disappointed with the service from Wallace Roofing. On the first occasion, the work was cancelled because their van had supposedly broken down. After rearranging and waiting again, I was then informed at the last minute that the upcoming weather was too hot to carry out the work, resulting in a second cancellation. Both cancellations were made after I had already arranged my schedule around the agreed dates, causing significant disruption and financial loss to my studio business. The lack of reliability, poor planning and last-minute communication made the experience extremely frustrating. I understand that unexpected issues can arise, but being let down twice in succession, particularly at such short notice, is simply not acceptable when running a business that depends on contractors turning up as agreed. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Wallace Roofing.

I am a developer and I understand how negative feedback can effect someone’s business so i dont leave negative feedback unless I really have to and I have never done it before. Let me first say that Senol is a lovely person with a great personality and I got on with him right away. However, this job was not only poor overall, it was not fit for purpose. senol tiled my bathroom floor and around the bath. The floor is uneven and the edges rubbish. I know that Senol will say that it’s because it was laid in the dark but I did ask him if he could do it and he said yes. Another thing one could argue is that if you work until 8pm in the dark winter months it is advisable to bring a light. I can live with the flooring it is around the bath it really went wrong. This was tiled during daylight hours. The visible cuts are rugged, cut with an angle grinder rather than tile cutter, also the straight cuts. The corner joint gaps variated from no gap to almost 2cm leaving me with enormous silicone seals down both sides. Same along ceiling up to 2.5cm gaps. Several of the tiles are scratched with the grinder leaving clearly visible black marks on white tiles. The worst bit was around the windows. The tiles were fitted so if I had applied enven the thinnest silicone seal I would have sealed the windows shut. I had to remove tiles and refit in order to open and close the window. The window still can’t tilt out for cleaning. I did contact Senol for him to rectify this but he never replied.

Re-plastered 3 bedrooms, hallways and lounges -painted 3 beds hallways lounges plus all door frames and skirtings and erected covings - fitted new bath including tiling - fitted new fuse box and rewired throughout the house Professional, reliable and friendly builder and team. I had the pleasure of hiring Leigh Dommett to build a considerable wall on my patio.He answered my on-line request within minutes, was at my property within half an hour, and, when we agreed his very reasonable price,I asked when could he start the project, his immediate answer being "why not right now ?". He completed the job in what I could only describe as record time and finished the same day, as it started getting dark. The result is fantastic. He is one of the most polite and efficient persons I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and is a true craftsman. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any bricklaying job, (large or small), but would indeed HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. It was an absolute pleasure watching him complete the job in the most efficient and expert way.To say I am pleased with the finished article and how he went about it, is an understatement.Leigh has only recently joined myBuilder.com, hence the very small feedback.
