Thomas Roof Restoration team have done a great job. They are professional and they worked hard ( in the scorching sun, I hasten to add!) to get the job done promptly. I highly recommend Thomas Roof Restoration for all roofing or general roof repair/construction needs. We used them to replace old felt, fit UPVC fascia boards and fit GRP flat roofing system around x2 sizeable front bay windows. They showed up on time each day, worked hard, cleaned up, and completed the projects quickly, as discussed at a rational-minded price… hard to come by these days.

Awful job - didn’t remove existing grout properly so new grout was patchy and could still see the old grout through the new - chipped my lovely floor tiles - then refused to come back and do the job ‘properly’ saying they were too busy - I asked them to refund the money so we could get someone else to do the job - still waiting!

Bram - did an absolutely amazing job of hanging five of the original doors that we have saved from the house renovation, this must not have been an easy challenge as you can imagine some of the doors didn’t really match the frame… However, you would think that they have always been there as a carpentry skills were amazing.. Will definitely be hiring him again…

We would 100% recommend Richard and intend on using him again in the future. There were quite a few cracks in the walls and the skirting boards were in a state. I didn’t think the cracks could be repaired, but Richard managed to make the entire room look brand new. We left our keys with him so that he could complete the job while we were on holiday and we came home to a completely transformed bedroom and we are so happy with the result.

The plastering work was completed well and was all tidy. It has however needed redoing entirely as the water damage that cause it is reoccurring due to the fact that it was just plastered over and no membrane was used.

The work was agreed to take place over five days starting on a Saturday but Pete requested to start on the Friday at the last minute and then turned up with multiple people stating that he was going to complete the job in one day! This did not happen obviously and so they returned on the Saturday to continue....and the Sunday....not complete either. Tuesday got a puncture down the road, not his fault but somehow managed to not do any work. Thursday exhaust fell off van, again no work. Sent his employees back on the next Saturday to continue who then informed me we were short of some special tiles. We had already discussed this at the start of the job as it was known that while all normal tiles and ridges were present valleys and eaves and tile and a halfs were needed and the amount required communicated and bought but somehow still short, not a problem as more were bought. Days passed and Pete and his crew were off on other jobs!! Some returned again and put in some time....still not complete!! Then informed that all the tile and halfs had been used and more were required!! Meanwhile as work progressed what was a weathertight roof felt sustained multiple damage and holes in important places. The new cement work was SAT ON in front of me and damaged. One velux window has not been correctly installed the flashing at the top not done right. I am left with an incomplete, incorrect roof with important damage not repaired as Pete has disappeared having had most of his money.

Jamie arrived when he said he would and gave a quote that wasn't the cheapest but his manor and the way he explained how he would do the work impressed me. His manor outweighed the cost and I gave him the work. I am pleased I made that decision, his work was excellent along with his work ethic. The job wasn't big but fiddly and he completed it to a very good standard. So much so I have asked him to quote for a much larger room. All in all I would recommend him to anybody wanting a good tradesman.
