Allan and Chris painted the outside of the house for us, including the front door, wall, step and gate. They tidied up at the end of each day, and were really thorough (even when it was clear that the prep work was going to take longer than originally estimated). House looks great now, we're really pleased with the result.

A very positive experience. We are not going to say everything was plain sailing. We got there in the end. Arick & Greg, the joiners were especially brilliant. Office communication could be improved at times and the office could be more pro-active. All of the others Duanne, Wesley and Rocky were great. There are a few things ourselves we have to do but now have a extra room in which to live and work. The guys put in long hours and put up with interruptions from our three dogs. Arick & Greg work incredibly hard and put in long hours ; much more then perhaps anyone else we have seen. It is always difficult dealing with things at a distance and we appreciate the office sorting things out when minor issues have arisen (we know they have changed some of their procedures because of us!). Overall it has been a very positive experience. Just glad that soon things will be completely finished and our new floor will no longer be like a building site. We believe we have added value to our house with the help of econoloft and our looking forward to moving in soon.

After one initial setback on start day the job went very well. Julian did an excellent paint job after vastly improving the look of some pretty old stairs by filling, caulking and sanding them first. He was efficient and pleasant to have around and worked quickly with little mess. I would definitely hire him again for further painting work.

Waleky is a great person to work with. On time and he helped us up and running our busy kitchen with out any down time. Even though there was a complication on the main fuse board as there are no spaces and it required to add new fuse board, he managed to keep it within the budget and time line. John Wardle and his crew did a magnificent job on our bath and shower rooms. We took a chance on Johnny, as being new to My Builder he didn’t have any reviews. Johnny’s assurance that he only did one job at a time was a big plus. Johnny tackles everything with an engineer’s eye. Our bathrooms job turned out to be far more difficult than first thought. Our very quirky stable conversion, last updated decades ago, was challenging. Once the work started it was discovered that the old Velux windows in the bathroom had been secretly leaking behind the tiles for years causing water damage to the joists and walls. A sheet of glass was discovered sandwiched in the stud wall and tiles had been tiled on top of tiles! It was very distressing to see walls, floors and ceilings having to be torn down to fix the problems, but it was comforting to know that Johnny and his crew knew exactly how to do the best restoration job. Johnny contracted in electricians and a heating engineer and organised things so that everything ran smoothly. Everyone worked really well together. All those working in our house were a pleasure to have around: they worked hard, were respectful and friendly. Having confidence in those doing the work made a potentially unbearably stressful situation a lot easier to cope with. We now have a fantastic bathroom and shower room which exceed our original expectations. We are very grateful to John Wardle and his crew and have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

I was very impressed with the workmanship from Ionut Breban! I was keen to have someone who knows what they are doing to plaster the 3 kitchen walls and get them ready for painting. It wasn’t a straightforward job as the walls were in bad shape and the crumbling old plaster needed to be scraped to the bare bricks! This caused me a bit of anxiety about how it would turn out! I take my hat off to Ionut and he rectified the problems with confidence! I look at the walls now and it brings a smile to my face! Thanks Ionut for the amazing transformation of my kitchen walls which are now ready for painting! I would highly recommend him to anyone who requires any plastering done! He is cheerful, knowledgeable and very helpful!

Dimche responded to the ad, arrived and fixed the issue on the same day. He pointed out the root cause of the leak and recommended a different connector to the one used by the original builder. As the pipes were made fairly inaccessible by subsequent decorators, he had to cut through the plasterboard to get access and connect everything. The fixed price agreed upfront was adhered to despite the job ended up being not just strict plumbing. I was initially a bit reticent to hire not seeing any reviews (this is due to him using the site to fill the gaps in regular work), but it worked out very well and I've already discussed another potential job in our house. Well recommended!
