Luciano was hired to make and fit a solid oak timber door to replace a very old front door. The door supplied was exactly as I wanted it to be, made to a beautiful finish. He was professional from start to finish. I highly recommend him for any carpentry work that is required.

This was a challenging relationship. I have left it some time before leaving feedback as I wanted to reflect and ensure that it was balanced. There were a number of exchanges before the job was done and this revolved mainly on the degree of prep that would be done. I wanted to make sure that everything would be properly prepped and sanded. There were staffing issues on the day and the job was rescheduled. There were staffing issues on the second arranged day but they did attend although delayed. The job was done, ran over and wrong paint colour used.Finish not good - not properly prepped. Was told I would have to pay extra for this... Had to be redone with more prep and in correct colour. I did not pay extra. Did not finish painting room and I declined to have them back to finish. Refused to offer a warranty on the work unless I paid for one. The finish on the kitchen units was fine. I finished painting the kitchen myself as didn't want further disruption. Job may not have run over had staff not disappeared off for food and cigarettes and spend so long on their mobiles. Neighbours complained at the bad language used and the fag ends left around. I have not given negative rating as the units are still in good shape and I am happy with them. We got there in the end but the journey was not a pleasant one.

Aurel is very reliable, polite, friendly and supportive. I had to change my mind a few times on the job, and a few issues with suppliers cropped up, but he was very patient and helpful all the way. He is skilled with painting and plastering, his work shows the experience that he has, and also that he takes a great amount of joy in his job. He is very clean, very sweet, and I would definitely highly recommend him to anyone, and work with him again if I have the chance to.

I am pleased to leave an excellent review for Amer Suleman. This was my first experience with My Builder - I needed some cabinets maing, a new desk and a difficult transformation for some black laquered shelving (to white). Amer called to express interest in the job, he was prompt to meet me to discuss my needs, flexible and accommodating with my start date (and finish dat) and gave a fair cost for the job. The workmanship has been outstanding. I am happy to write this review mid job, as the carpentary work has finished but I have retained him to do the paint work. This has turned into a complete shop fit. He has a thoughful logical approach to his work, will happily but not aggresively offer opinions and suggestions, he is meticilous in his attention to detail, quality and finish. I will be happy to offer full references for his business (and have already recommended him to friends). I hope he will post before and after pictures of his work for me, as I have been extremely impressed. I took a chance with My Builder and it has absolutely paid off I am pleased to say. Thank you Amer. Great job!

Andrew did a great job replacing some floor tiles for us. The job turned out to be more complicated due to a small water leak but Andrew was able to locate the problem and advise on next steps. He was friendly and professional and I’d happily recommend him for other work.
