Completed my city and guilds in June 1982 and worked on many projects in all walks of the trade, from building windows in a joinery to hanging 8 foot solid oak doors in office blocks to roofs, housing sites, kitchens and managing refurbishments projects from start to finish. These days as I head towards my retirement I prefer to stick to smaller projects, ideally with interesting carpentry and joinery features such as making furniture and bespoke items that I would have found challenging as kid but more fun as an old hand.
