I've been in the Carpentry and Joinery trade for 15 years. Served my apprenticeship as a bench joiner, continuing in a workshop for 7 years making bespoke one off items. I then worked for 6 years doing all aspects of on site carpentry. I comfortably turned my hand to finishing/second fix carpentry. I do all first and second fix carpentry. I can't say if I prefer second fix or first fix more because I welcome the change when it comes around. I am time served and like my work to look neat and tidy. I'm always helpful to advise what works and what design may lead to problems later.
