I worked at heights doing rope access for years, abseiling on big industrial jobs. I then trained as a builder. I use my rope access experience to avoid the use of scaffolding, using a harness in places most people would struggle to reach from a ladder. I do gutters (leaks and replacements), flat roofs (grp-fibreglass, epdm-rubber roofing and torch on felt), pointing chimneys, pointing and re-bedding ridge tiles and replacements with dry ridge systems and all other aspects of roofing.
