Bruno designed and built a large oak framed structure for us, joining the house to the garage and providing a large covered area. The structure was built using beautiful traditional joinery techniques and finished with slate to match the existing house roof, and was built with incredible attention to detail. Bruno's craftsmanship is superb, he is incredibly polite, timely and easy to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anybody.

Quoted £500 to remove small kitchen wall (<1m wide), make adjacent wall good, and move light switch. Removed wall, moved switch, and kindly moved fridge. Said he'd return to make wall good. On two occasions I arranged to WFH and he failed to show up or let me know. On multiple occasions he said he might be able to do a day but then didn't confirm. He did come by when we weren't in one day to drop wood off to cover wall gaps. One day I arranged for our dog walker to be in at 1. She waited until 3. I messaged Daniel later to ask what happened. He apparently came at 1.20 and waited for 15 mins. I believe he turned up and our dog walker didn't hear door but it's unlikely he tried to knock multiple times over 15 mins, as she was listening for him. Agreed he would finish work in new year. In Jan again failed to confirm days/times on multiple occasions. Finally agreed noon on a Sat. Failed to show up/respond to messages. Eventually got through to him - said his phone was broken. No explanation re why he didn't show up. Agreed he'd come the next Sat but no show again. No response to message or to later one asking if he planned to finish the job. Received a missed call but nothing further. I've left it a month as hoped he would get in contact. It's clear he has run off with £500, leaving giant holes in wall. I work long hours and weekends are precious. I have no patience for someone who has no respect for my free time, or for fact it's not possible to WFH all the time.

I will be neutral in this review. Pros- Paolo was quick to respond to do all the jobs on my list (kitchen handles, tv wall brackets and shelving). We agreed on a date and informed him of the colour of handles. He was covid safe in my house. If he needed any items he went to the local hardware shop while on the job. He was flexible and agreed to put up a mirror which was outside of original scope but one job from the original scope had been removed. Cons- He got the wrong handles (despite several written messages stating the colour) forcing me go to Howden’s on the day and queue up for an hour to get the correct handles. Later he said he didn’t have to tools to install the kitchen handles anyway. I had to stop my day to help him with the tv bracket instructions. He did two out of three brackets agreed. After he left I realised there were missing elements in one bracket which I now have to rectify. There was inadequate protection put up in the areas being drilled - so a lot of dust ended up on the floor and furniture. He did offer to clear up later but there was no time. He made measuring errors which meant there are now four visible holes in my living room chimney breast at eye level. No apology received. He offered to put it right - if we wanted him to. Now we have to correct these visible defects. He also put up some shelving incorrectly and had to redo the holes. This is a factual account of events.

Job unfinished, pipe is leaking, due to several requests and phone calls, the man Andrew did not turn up. Once he did but he explained the small rubber is leaking. I told him 1st time it was the pipe, he mocked me , I have video to prove that it was the pipe. I am afraid to say,DO NOT HIRE HIM. He didn't weld the pipe properly the leak is happening cos pipe needs soldering again.
