After a site visit for my initial quote lead flashing replacement was considered the remedy .On start day a short proper examination showed degraded roofing felt and hence the need for further tiling to be removed and felt replacement around the dormer to be necessary this meant that the costs suggested were multiplied many times.This assessment could have easily been done on a previous visit to drop off some materials so that I had a proper cost to consider before feeling committed hence I felt this was a deliberate tactic. Lots of worrying information about the potential additional problems with the roof around the dormer that should be addressed further increasing the scope of work and therefore cost. An example being the facia on the apex frame which I was told was rotten whereas in fact only the very end of the timber was so it didn’t have to be done. I was promised a written 10 year guarantee but have not received.Positive points the work does to appear good and the leak stopped

£2,360 to completely gut and install a 2x3m bathroom. Wojtek was absolutely excellent from start to finish. Even when there was small leak one evening, he immediately drove back half an hour to fix it in the evening. Also when I messed up the ordering of some parts, he was accommodating and didn't get frustrated with me. The quality of the workmanship appears to be excellent (to the untrained eye) and he delivered everything exactly on schedule. A really really minor point, was that he used the wrong colour grout in an unobvious spot, because he ran out of the correct colour, but he came back an fixed it straight away. But that is nit-picking. I cannot recommend him enough and will definitely be using him again. And to top it all off, he's a nice bloke.
