Job 1 - Remove old & fit new IKEA kitchen + utility room + flooring to same & dining room Job 2 - Remove old sanitary ware fit new to cloakroom + fit flooring to same and entrance hallway Job 3 - Remove old shower & fit new wet room + tiling plastering and making good. Replace banisters to stairs. External repairs to guttering. Job 4 - Replace old skirting boards and architrave, remove old front door and fit new including glazing & security locks. Make new fitted wardrobe to main bedroom. Jamie has completed 4 projects for us and the reason I will keep using him is simply that he is an exceptional tradesman. The standard of work is very high, he communicates well and offers excellent solutions whenever there has been unforeseen problem which can only be expected when working on a Victorian building. His input is always thoughtful and he always put our interest first rather than what would make the job easier for him. I wish him success for the future, just hope he will not be too busy to do our extension next year.

We had S.W Carpentry & Construction in to carry out a full Roof refurbishment. It was a large, pitched roof with problems to include leaking in places, cracked tiles and old rotting fascias. Stuart stripped off the old tiles, rotten felt and battens and replaced the lot with new breathable felt, grade A roofing battens and brand new tiles. We had all the valleys, verges and ridges changed to a dry system and we also had the rotten timber removed off our dormers and replaced with new marley weatherboards and brand new upvc fascia's, soffits and guttering through out. A very professional and job was carried out and Stuarts work was done to a very high standard in the time frame that was stated and at a very reasonable price (provided a full competitive quote prior to work being carried out). We highly recommend S.W Carpentry & Construction and will definitely be using them again in the future.

Calum re-vamped my garden for me when my husband died. I needed my garden re-doing as there were lots of vegetable patches at the back of the garden. Instead I wanted a summer house and a place to sit. Calum worked on a raised patio, seating area, gravel footpath and two raised beds with planting for me as well as the summer house. He worked very hard, and got it all done on time and to a high standard. He tidied up as he went along. I'd definitely recommend him. His price was a good - very reasonable. Calum is reliable, he did the work when he said he would and stayed longer on some days to finish it too.

We hired Dave to knock down a large breeze block building in our garden, remove all rubbish from inside building and clear site. The job took two days and Dave and his colleague arrived at 8am both mornings. The guys did an excellent job and the garden was left nice and tidy afterwards. Both my husband and I were extremely happy with the work done. We would certainly use Dave again and have no hesitation in recommending him to friends and family.

Pos- Gheorge was respectful when entering home. Fence is now completed & looks much better. Thank you Ion & Constantine who also worked very well. Neg- Terrible communication, Rushing, Left over materials & not so pleasant towards the end. I ended up having to micromanage, not feeling comfortable leaving them to it. A few fence panels were taken down in the beginning as the quality of work was messy. I was going to be charged for paint brushes etc. But declined. I repeatedly asked if nails & other materials were needed in the beginning & was told no then was given reciepts. I also feel using B&Q on larger projects as professionals is not cost effective. I was also assured the left over materials would be bought which didnt happen. Its quite disappointing when the work is over after having to oversee and constantly buy extra material for it to be done to a decent standard, to then be given reciepts for things that where never explained or agreed is deflating and though the price quoted I paid in full Im currently £47 worth of reciepts outstanding. Im not sure if because i am a women i was expected to not notice. I believe due to the language barrier it can be a little overwhelming. Had i been told exactly what was needed when i continuously asked i wouldnt be so out of pocket & in this mess and although to give & take i left room just incase extra materials were needed it became excessive leaving me out of pocket. Now im made to feel as if im witholding the money.

Tim transformed our garden from an overgrown jungle into a sophisticated outdoor living space. He created a pathway and patio area and laid artificial grass. His workmanship was very efficient and extremely tidy, giving the weather conditions he was working under there was very little mess. He was professional and reliable. Having given a glowing rating for Cory's original work, I now have been let down very badly. I asked for double gates for my drive. There was no design until I initiated it. My stipulations were for privacy and security. The gates were erected and Cory was to complete the work with bolts and extra wood to give privacy. Whilst I was hospitalised, he turned up and did not make secured bolts nor additional backing. The gates on my return were warped, posts were no longer straight and I have been unable to close the gates. Cory did not reply to the message that I sent. I should not have paid him nor recommended him to my friends.
