Do not hire this guy. He is disgusting. We agreed a time and I rearranged my whole schedule for him to fit my carpet, but last minute he remembers that his got a birthday party to attend to so canceled the job completely. Not reliable, please avoid.

AVOID- UNRELIABLE and has DISAPPEARED! Inital impression of Dave was excellent- he was quick to respond and was able to quote after work hours. I went with him without asking for further quotes and was booked in for 10 days later on a Thursday. I text a few days later to confirm and was asked if I could move to the Saturday- no problem for me. On Saturday I get no calls/ text and call/text myself. Several hours later I get a text to say that his van was in for repair and he had low signal. I asked him to keep me updated- no response. I contact to rebook, no response- his phone rings and I text hm but nothing back. All I can assume is that he's taken on a more lucrative contract and is too ashamed to admit it.

Unfortunately I have to leave negative feedback for Leigh. He arrived early each day which was good, however, half way through my (extended) job he asked me to pay him half the amount owing which I immediately did. As soon as his bank transfer went through he informed me that he was going to walk away from the job :-( I have now had to emply a further tradesman to complete the job.

even though he did a good job he only came once, run over my lawn mower lead and had to repair it, which took a while. he never returned any of my calls then when i did get hold of him he had cut his finger with a chain saw (supposedly) and was unable to come but if i hadn't rung a second time i would have been left with no one, so if you want someone who is unreliable then he's your guy.

Arranged laying of Patio agreed price and time to start,delay in getting slabs agreed another date. Since then heard nothing inspite of leaving messages on phone and email. If he had changed his mind he could have let me know. I have since had a local builder through the local newspaper and the job was done in two days.

Driveways (Tarmac Surface)- 4 Sep 2018
Work was originally scheduled to start 4th June but only began on 26th June as Sutton Ltd were very busy on a number of other, larger projects. The crew who attended were good skilled workmen who worked hard in difficult conditions during the heatwave. New concreted passageway was meant to eliminate rainwater 'pooling' on surface. The first time we had some rain (2 weeks after works finished) it was apparent something was wrong as surface water had not run off as expected. We sent a photo to Paul Sutton (co-owner of Sutton Ltd who had been dealing with us by text & phone after accepting job) but sadly he decided they had finished the job to the agreed specifications and that was an end to it. We had by then paid their bill. We wrote to him once more but no reply. We weren't happy to be 'off-loaded' in this way by Paul Sutton because he reckoned the job was done properly. He was never here during the work nor did he come to inspect it when finished. Later, he informed us that one of the 2 men working here on the last day was in fact his younger brother, Phillip Sutton, so it must have been Phil who 'signed off' on the job, but we had no idea. P.S. We've since had another company here to rectify the problem. They highlighted a glaring fault. Using a spirit level they found half the new surface was sloped backwards, so rainwater couldn't run off as intended. Have learned the hard way but at nearly 80 we're not taking matters further. Problem now sorted!

Complete waste of time. Asked for a cash in advance for the materials, so he could go and buy them. Without any contract in place, what guarantee do I have that he would ever come back to do the job rather than just disappear with my cash? Lack of people skills. Shame, because he seems to just registered on 'My builder' recently, and no positive feedback so far.
