Bakers Building services have been exceptional throughout the entire project to complete a single story extension on our Victorian terrace in Colchester. Jamie has been easy to talk to and open to all of our ideas when other builders dismissed them. He has also communicated well and kept us informed of timelines and delays with building works. He was also very thoughtful with our neighbours during the build as we have shared assess through their garden so he was always ensuring that they were happy and the site was kept tidy. Jamie has amazing attention to detail and was quick to address any of our concerns throughout the building process. His team have also helped with things not in their remit, like helping get the range cooker in to the house and assisting with cleaning our parquet flooring blocks to help us lay the floor. We have got an amazing extension thanks to Jamie and his team so they are highly recommended and I know they will be in much demand, judging by the amount of neighbours we have had asking to see his work with a view to extend their own properties. Star Builder and we are looking to having him and his team back to further renovate our property when we tackle the first floor

Outstanding Service – Highly Recommended! We recently used this company for groundwork and fencing, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. They completed the footings for our new conservatory and also replaced several broken fence panels – all done to a very high standard. From the initial quote to the final clean-up, the team were friendly, reliable, and clearly knew their trade inside out. They turned up when they said they would, kept us informed throughout, and were respectful of our property at all times. The work was completed on schedule and within budget, with no corners cut. The fencing looks strong and secure, and the footings were done precisely to spec, which gave us real peace of mind moving forward with our conservatory build. You can tell they take pride in their work, and it really shows in the finished job. If you're considering any groundwork or fencing work, I’d highly recommend this company. I hired Montore Building Services to demolish and remove a brick bomb shelter from my garden. The structure was brick and reinforced concrete. A tough job which required care due to the proximity of my house. The firm are seasoned professiobals and did a great job. Prompt and no hassle. Very pleased.

Job significantly escalated as more and more issues were discovered to be inherently wrong with the house, added to which the architect was unfortunately taken seriously ill at the start of the project. Nathan managed everything, coordinated trades, resolved issues as they arose and delivered a virtually new house with all floors, roof and walls replaced, eaves replaced, full drainage replaced, Excellent work, extremely friendly, highly recommended

BMR has turned my dream self-build into a nightmare. An independent structural engineer has confirmed that the foundations BMR constructed are not in accordance with the approved structural drawings and require remedial structural works before my house can even be built. Defects in BMR's work: 200mm lost from both the front and rear elevations of the approved footprint. Internal load-bearing foundations constructed in the wrong location. Foundation levels between 30mm and 75mm out across the build. Thousands of pounds in remedial engineering, bricklaying and construction costs, plus weeks of delays. The setting-out engineer was appointed and paid by BMR as part of the contract I paid for, yet Baden tried to shift responsibility instead of taking ownership. I gave Baden every opportunity to inspect the site with my contractor and discuss a solution. Instead, he denied liability, refused to discuss the issues any further, and simply walked away from the problem.
