I would have given Tom & Peter 5*s as they done an excellent job of laying my patio area, but my description was "Garden patio; adding 2 small retaining walls; replace shed roof". Unfortunately, replacing the shed roof was not included in the original quote and when I mentioned this was told it would not be too much. As they had done such a brilliant job on the paving, I asked if the price of levelling the decking could be included in the quote with the roof. The price given was way out of my budget, but because Tom is reasonable we agreed on a price. Tom agreed to return the following week and complete the works. Unfortunately he was not well and agreed to do this the following week - that was a couple of weeks ago. I've not heard anything since - a shame really, as he worked hard to ensure the patio area was done well. I therefore suggest making sure you receive a quote for "all" works and don't leave it to chance that what's been left off will be dealt with later.

Alex and his crew did a fantastic job on my property. They did the work on-time, to budget and to a very professional standard. The work required a wide variety of skills from painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrics. As I was unable to be on site Alex constantly kept me updated on progress with photos and videos. All in all I would highly recommend Alex and his team.

Joe and his assistant Jack did a fantastic and very neat job replacing part of my fence. Joe is meticulous about detail and refuses to be defeated by any problem that might arise. His many years of experience as a builder shone through. I chose him because one of the recommendations under his profile described him as “old school and all the better for it”. That was very true.

Composite Everything was very professional and completed 12 composite panels to a high spec. They inserted 6 brand new concrete posts to match the ones I didn’t want replacing. They used high end aluminium inserts and rails and amazing colour composite woodgrain tongue and groove boards. Highly recommended and our neighbour has already placed an order with them!

Well we struck lucky finding Eddie to replace our three fence panels. He did a remarkable job that involved removing the broken panels and large lumps of concrete from the previous fence. Our new fence – with posts all laid in fresh concrete – looks amazing and feels really sturdy. He also fixed a panel on the other side of the garden and added some weather proofing to our cabin that wasn't in our original request. It's all very well being a good fencer and landscaper, but what also counts is personality and Eddie is such a lovely guy: super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, talented and very polite. He really does do a thorough job. In fact, one of our neighbours has already asked who did our fence so well. We will definitely be employing him again. Cheers Eddie – see you again soon!

We recently had our kitchen refurbished by Dumitru, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. He’s one of those rare builders who combines professionalism with real care for the details. He worked efficiently, kept the place tidy throughout the project, and always cleaned up after himself — which honestly made such a difference when living through a renovation. What I appreciated most was how supportive he was when it came to choosing the right materials. He guided us through the options without ever pushing, and his advice proved spot-on. The final result is exactly what we hoped for and more. If you’re looking for someone reliable, skilled, and easy to work with, I totally recommend Dumitru P.S. Excellent worker, very professional. Had him and his team install a new garden fence as part of my on going landscape works. He came and took measurements and provided a quote for installation and materials - quick turn around. While conducting the works, he kept me updated with work progress, videos and pictures every step of the way. In terms of price he was reasonable within market rates. We had an agreement in place for payment, half of the payment to get materials and the remaining as soon as the job is complete. One the works we’re done, took all rubbish away and kept the garden clean free of debris. Recommend highly, gave a small businesses a chance to show how good he was and done well.
