  • We are 3 brothers that are starting out together, we have all worked within our own skills set, but after many years and unfortunate events in the family we have decided to start up together because who can you trust more than family. All together we have well over 50 years experience within the construction industry. Alone we only have our own skill sets but together we have the knowledge and skills to complete any job. For the last few years I have mainly been focused on fencing and flooring with some garden landscaping and paving, but by no means am I limited to this. As a team we can also cover all electrical issues with my oldest brother being a certified electrician. My oldest brother regularly does full house renovations, from the strip out to final finish, including all electrical work, plumbing, plastering, joinery, bricklaying and everything else in between. My middle brother after completing his bricklaying and joinery course he spent 15 years fitting high end bespoke kitchens for the one of the market leaders. For the last 5 years he has been working more site work with an extensive number specific certifications focusing on groundwork. Myself I spent 2 years covering bricklaying, joinery, basic electrical maintenance, painting and decorating, plumbing, motor maintenance and welding and fabrication. After which I followed a career in welding and fabrication. I’ve managed teams on large projects and spent a number of years in the engineering and quantity surveying world. But the office isn’t for me, I like to get my hands dirty and I have spent the last couple of years focusing on mainly fencing, flooring and paving/garden maintenance. We have all helped each other with work from time to time and we are all well rounded and have recently bonded like we was when we were kids, and now it’s time for us all to put our skills together and build something to pass to our children.

Questions to ask a fencer in Ossett

Before making the final decision to hire the right fencer in Ossett, you want to be sure you choose the most suitable tradesperson for your requirements. Asking a few key questions will make sure you do just that. Understand fencer’s experience and approach by asking these questions:

Do you provide a written quote that includes all materials and labour?

Always request a detailed written quote before any work begins, and be sure you know what it includes - typically, it will cover labour, materials (including posts, panels, fixings, and concrete), and sometimes waste disposal. A clear quote helps avoid unexpected costs later.

What materials do you recommend for my garden fence?

The right fencing contractor in Ossett will consider your garden’s layout, soil type, and exposure to wind or moisture before suggesting materials like timber, composite, or metal. Their advice can help you choose the most durable and cost-effective option.

Will you handle old fence removal and site cleanup?

Check if waste removal is included in the quote, or will be charged at an extra cost. Many fencers offer this as part of the service, but it’s always best to confirm before work starts.

How long will the fencing work take to complete?

Timeframes can vary depending on weather, access, and the length of fencing. Asking this upfront helps you plan ahead, especially if you need the job completed before a specific date.

Do you hold public liability insurance?

Make sure your fencing contractor holds public liability insurance. This protects both you and them in case of accidental damage or injury during the job.

Do you offer a guarantee on your fencing work?

Professional fencers in Ossett typically offer a guarantee covering workmanship and materials. Confirm the length and terms of the warranty to ensure peace of mind once the job is complete.

Do Ossett fencing contractors provide the fencing materials, or does the customer need to source them?

This depends on the fencer. Some fence fitters in Ossett prefer to supply all materials to guarantee quality and fit, while others are happy to install fencing that you’ve purchased yourself. Always confirm before work begins.

How long does it take fencers in Ossett to install a new fence?

A typical domestic fencing job takes 1 to 3 days, depending on the length, material, and condition of the ground. More complex or sloped gardens may take longer.
