Hi, I started my professional life back in the 80's as a vehicle builder, making trains in York City. I moved onto 1st fix joinery and then building conservatories. I now work on film sets on the design team making anything from dog sleds to fake sat nav phones for the stunt team. I have spent the last 2 years modifying a house in Hove including fitting radiators, painting, tongue and grooving a wall, tiling a shower, fitting a stand alone shower screen, custom building a wall diner seat. hanging heavy pictures and tv's and re routing pipe work into the wall. and cutting out a cat shaped hole in privacy glass so that cat can still see out.

Hired Josh from Coastal Timber Co.(His own company). He gave me a price from photos, I had sent him of the work involved. He sourced all the doors & materials for us, at a great price. We arranged a date & Josh arrived on time & was very courteous & hard working. His attention to detail in his work, is fabulous. He was very tidy at all times, whilst working in our home. He gave us advice on the best way the work should be carried out. We are very happy with the doors Josh fitted & would definitely hire him again & recommend him to others.

Sam's team have just fitted a fence at my house using concrete posts and gravel boards with drop in close-board panels, which are really nice quality. They did an outstanding job and worked incredibly hard over the two days it took to the fence. After completion they left my garden as tidy (if not tidier !) as it was before they arrived. I would, without hesitation, heartily recommend S. Goodrich Gardens.

I wanted to replace an old brick wall in my front garden with railway sleepers. I had some idea on how I wanted it to look, but I was very undecided: vertical, horizontal, staggered or squared?. When James came around he made clear suggestions on how make it look nice, simple and within budget. He explained to me what the work involved and showed me some pictures of a previous job he had done so I had a clearer idea. I had to go out the day he came to do the job but he made sure we both were on the same page and he would meet my expectations, and I wasn't disappointed when I came back home. I contacted him afterwards to check details about the look and maintenance of the sleepers and he always replied promptly. I would definitively recommend James.
