Simon at SS Masonry did a super job of repairing a wall on the pavement in Windermere that had been knocked down by a learner driver!! As this was work carried out for the Council quotes did have to be provided first but Simon got in touch about the job, was excellent at communicating and came when he said he would with his team and repaired the wall better than ever. Thank you Simon, highly recommended.

Peter Woodruff submitted an estimate on 25 February to replace our fence, saying that it would be completed in 2 - 3 weeks. Three weeks later, having heard nothing from Woodvalegroundworks, we asked what the hold up was, and they replied that they were held up by wet weather, but it would be done in another 2 - 3 weeks. Once again the time passed and once again we heard nothing. I asked Peter Woodruff to complete the job this week as our neighbour's dogs are able to get into our garden, causing problems. He said that 'no he couldn't.' We are very disappointed at both the lack of honesty and communication from this firm. Peter Woodruff strung us along and wasted our time, rather than saying that he wasn't really interested in our job and had given it low priority (we only have a small garden, so not much fencing is needed). We have now hired someone else, and wish we had done so sooner. We would not recommend Woodvalegroundworks unless you like waiting indefinitely for a job to be done, and I would never hire them again.

Our experience with Joe from Lakeland uPVC has been absolutely amazing and our fence looks fantastic. From the very beginning Joe and his team has been professional, prompt and polite. He provided a detailed and competitive written quotation. All the way through he talked to us about the job and asked how we wanted to proceed with things that cropped up. Joe and his team worked incredibly hard, they were always here early and left everything incredibly tidy when finished. The fence looks brilliant and Joe thought about the extra details like weed matting and slate which gave it that extra touch and a neater finish. You can tell Joe takes pride in his work because everything was finished to perfection. We were also extremely impressed by how professional Joe was in his provision of quotes and invoices and in his manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending Joe and we hope to be able to employ his services again in the future.
