I posted my Job on My Builder a couple of weeks ago. Michael responded within a few hours. I described the work that needed doing and sent photos and he came back with a quote very quickly. I decided to use Michael to replace my storm damaged fence panels and posts. I had the previous timber posts replaced with concrete posts and close board fence panels to produce a longer lasting fence. Michael and his colleagues turned up on time and completed the work in very good time. The garden is on quite a slope so not the easiest for aligning panels. Michael and his team did an excellent job that I am very pleased with and also excellent value. Would recommend to others.

Daniel arrived on the job on time and was a very polite person done exactly what was required, very professional and done the job in the time he said he would. Overall was very satisfied what he done took everything away which was agreed in the price and which was very reasonable cleaned up after himself and left the back garden very tidy, will definitely use him again in the coming weeks to sort out my front garden.

Nick and his colleague came to replace our garden fence, build a pergola and a new side gate. I cannot recommend to him enough. Nick was helpful, reliable and his work was amazing. Our new fence looks great, as does the side gate. And the pergola is stunning at the bottom of the garden. So much hard work went into making sure everything was perfect, how we wanted it and even clean and tidy at the end of each day. We weren’t too sure what design we wanted, but Nick helped us choose and expertly built it to how we wanted it. I have nothing but good things to say about the hard work and the professionalism from start to finish. Even working in torrential rain for hours! He was also a massive hit with my two young children who wanted to watch what was going on in their garden. Thank you to Nick and the team for the hard work. We are delighted with the results.

Unreliable, 3 times booked in to come and all 3 times never turned up. Took a long time to give the initial quote also. 1st time he was waiting for the materials, 2nd time the weather was bad (not his fault) and the 3rd time never turned up although the weather was perfect to do the job. He didn’t communicate any reason why and still hasn’t replied until this day. Luckily we haven’t paid anything but a lot of inconvenience and time wasting. Now looking for a new contractor to do our job.

Unfortunately JLC Carpentry did a very poor job and the units they installed ultimately had to be removed. They failed to install wall plugs to securely fix the wardrobes to the wall (they only used screws). Instead of using appropriate materials to support the shelves, they used rough, unfinished skirting board offcuts. The wardrobes were attached to the wall before the plaster had properly dried, which caused damp to spread into the units. They also failed to secure the base of the wardrobes correctly, with screws that were not properly aligned with the wood. I have attached photos. Because of these issues, along with several others, I would not recommend JLC Carpentry.

Sean and his team installed a lovely patio at the top of my garden in beautiful grey porcelain tile, they also erected a pergola over part of the patio. The area by the house was enhanced with extra loose stones and the lawn was edged with the same edging brick as the patio. Very happy with the work, they all worked very hard and kept me informed along the way. They also cleared up at the end of the work. Would definitely recommend Sean and his team.
