I hired Ramiz to replace new fencing in my garage. He is by far one of the nicest and most experienced tradesman you can find. He’s very knowledgeable in his field. He came to view the job and explained everything in detail and gave me an estimate in line with my budget without any hidden costs. On the day of the job he was prompt and did a professional job. Well we struck lucky finding Eddie to replace our three fence panels. He did a remarkable job that involved removing the broken panels and large lumps of concrete from the previous fence. Our new fence – with posts all laid in fresh concrete – looks amazing and feels really sturdy. He also fixed a panel on the other side of the garden and added some weather proofing to our cabin that wasn't in our original request. It's all very well being a good fencer and landscaper, but what also counts is personality and Eddie is such a lovely guy: super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, talented and very polite. He really does do a thorough job. In fact, one of our neighbours has already asked who did our fence so well. We will definitely be employing him again. Cheers Eddie – see you again soon!

The guys were more human than just fencers ; they helped clear some trees and then installed the fence. Only advice is - be clear of what you want so they do not have to undo and correct things but they will do everything whole heartedly. Colours and quality of fence vary but decide whether you want to buy own material or have it supplied. The areas with concrete already can be challenging but they managed that very well and very neatly. They clear up the mess from either side and most importantly ; they will give you a good deal better price than most companies !

Adam Favor and NOVA Design & Build are a nice bunch of guys and they are reliable/helpful. However, when it came to coving, architrave and flooring, acceptable standards were unfortunately not met. Other specialists had to be brought in to re-do around 20% of the job; namely certain sections of the cornice and door architrave. In the former, a few things were below standard including: 1) not joining the friezes in the correct places, 2) cutting inaccurately, 3) leaving gaps, 4) using silicon as a filler and adhesive. For the door architrave, the wood was misaligned and not glued/nailed properly. The flooring was not laid well because there are huge gaps at times; sometimes at 1 cm. Since the kitchen has been installed, it is too late to take up the floorboards again. The most dubious thing of all in this job was the quote received for decorating which was c. 15k for 47 m2. This included plastering repairs, but ultimately the job got done by someone else to a high standard at 7k.

Richard was great at coming round and giving us an honest quote (we had a few outrageous quotes beforehand!) and within a couple of days he came in with his team to remove an ivy ridden fence post, dig a new hole and put in a couple of new ones alongside fitting our new fences 👍 He was a pleasure to do business with and was careful in keeping the inside of the house clean with sheets and then cleaning as they left. Have been THREATENED today for remaining payment for unfinished Job by Milo. He was knocking the gate down whilst I had a guest& would not leave until I paid remaining £200 cash NOW before he left - I would have paid once free of guest. First he asked for full £600 tfr up front. I said I have never paid in full upfront for a job; He agreed to do it in the end before payment. Fence was 3/4 finished as he ran out of material. He said he would come back tomo and finish but could I pay £600 CASH. I said I'd transfer £500 and the rest when job finished and rubbish removed-He said rubbish is the clients job. I have NEVER had to remove a builders rubbish myself. I cannot fit old fence in my car. Yesterday evening he started sending me rude threatening texts for the £500 not long after he left. I said I planned to do it after dinner. I sent £400 due to the rude texts &After inspecting the work-Not good at all(Long list). He has left rubbish on drive now as I did not pay whilst he kicked mydoor
