Very nice and polite guy. He did his job as promised. The price was fixed and job was done neatly. He tidied away all the rubbish and out back everything in order which I was very pleased with. The communication was great and everything went very well. We enjoy our garden more than before now.

Garden Maintenance- 1 May 2018
MD Building originally came in to rebuild our garden. We were very impressed by their professionalism and building skills and asked them to do much more for us (e.g. build new guest toilet, re-fit bathroom, paint bedrooms and hallway, rebuild parts of our kitchen). They were here for 9 months in the end and were very hard working (come rain or shine) and knowledgeable and we were very grateful that they included some extras for free. We are really happy with the majority of their work and they did offer to re-do the items we were not happy with (e.g. the laying of the coping stones in the garden wall). They also returned to fit a draining gutter when we found out that the new patio did not include draining. We struggled with getting timely responses at times and there we also some no shows, but, they always worked hard to make up for it each time and overall, were much more professional than the builders we have used in the past.

John is a master craftsmen and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was 100% helpful and reliable from start to finish throughout the job of repaving my front garden. He really took the time to understand my vision and went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with the work. For example, he sourced beautiful reclaimed paving stones for me. He also suggested a specific type of pointing for the paving which was more time consuming for him but looked absolutely excellent. The job really stands out as a superb piece of work, not just an acceptable piece of work. The price was very fair indeed and represents excellent value for money, especially given the quality of the work. I cannot recommend highly enough. Thanks John, hope to work with you again on another project!

Horrible experience ever. Though the owner was quick in responding and coming up with quote - is very unprofessional. The quote was increased dramatically after my recommendation to come and see the garden - agreed a contract. Was then followed by another increase in price (once the work began, after several explicit confirmations that the owner was interested in doing the job and can get the job done. He even put the pressure to start the job immediately although in hindsight I could have easily said No). Was then followed by another increase in price. Was then followed followed by digging more than required, identifying clay issue as a problem that he cannot fix, and did not want to come up with any solution than leaving the garden dug out, disposing all the soil, now the garden looks like a pool. In the end, did not even oblige to clear garden waste as agreed during the last negotiation. Very professional and can even yell at you. I suppose this feedback will be hidden - but don’t employee unless you don’t like your money.
