Contacted Matt to repair a gutter for an elderly parent. He was quick to come and view the job and give a price. The work was then done very efficiently without any problems, and Matt was very polite and helpful to deal with. So much so we booked him straight away to do a larger exterior maintenance job in spring. A big five star rating from me!

Had our roof replaced with Straightline, top quality service. As always with a big job like that, problems popped up and things didn’t always go right. We’re in one of the most exposed spots on Portland and got hit by one of the biggest storms of the year just as our roof was off, resulting in a bit of a leak. Credit to Josh and the team - they were out of bed and at my house at 1 in the morning, in the driving rain and howling winds, and got up there to make it right. Also insisted on paying to get the ceiling underneath repainted even though we were planning to do it anyway and didn’t mind. 10/10 on communication, customer service and workmanship. Cannot recommend highly enough. He should also probably charge more, I say this with reluctance as these guys will be my go to for building services going forward 😂

Nick was extremely helpful in checking that the doors we favoured would be suitable for our application, ensuring that all sizes were correct and attending to be certain that the doors were correct on delivery. We were happy before it rained and we thoroughly checked their work. They left mess, razor sharp edges on the glass, and glass overhanging neighbours land a little bit. We asked them to return to remedy this which they said they would do this coming Tuesday. Since then we have also noticed that they have cut our glass too short, cut the new hardwood at too steep an angle which was bodged in with wood filler, and now it's rained this new roof has massively leaked. In places where the glass is cut too short and even along the length of one of the new wooden beams; must be missing a bit of silicone. It is now Saturday and we have called them 2 days ago on Thursday, yesterday Friday we called and texted, and today again we both texted and one of us called them, to check if they are still coming on Tuesday or not. 3 days is not unreasonable to return a call or text just to confirm either way. More rain is due between now and then, concerned about lack of communication and quality of work.
