Carpentry- 26 Sep 2023
This guy showed an NHS application, with Geographic location of all the doors he fitted, show me photo's on his phone perfect fitted doors. Only when he came to do correct the fire doors, he was majorly insistent that i paid him for the two doors which i duely did. He then called me a further 2/3 times on same day insisting on Cash payment, so i had to pay double on the day prepaying for the next two doors as he was so insistent. I'm not sure he was drinking prior as there were smells from him. He arrived in a blue/ green van with a rhino sign on the roof rack. When i got an inspector to view the fire doors they were not satisfied with the level or quality of the work, and duely failed them. When i asked if i could pay 50% in 3/4 week for balustrading he became more insistent of pre-payment of first 50% , that he started slightly, goading me : give me payment now!.! prior to him starting We'll he cut up the balustrading on two floors, then had some work to do in London. Strange i 'm left 1 year later , with undue stress, balustrading down, fire doors not in good shape had to get in another carpenter in 3 weeks time.I am now running into 10/11 months after i hired him. Excited, enthusiastic and singing his praises is not quite what i have experienced. I'm sure he can do other things, skirtings, kitchens,to a level ,etc. He is alright, has quality tools, but this whole fire door thing has been a Saga/Stress. Maybe something got lost in translation as his English is very limited.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COWBOY! 3 TIMES HE MADE UP EXCUSES FOR NOT TURNING UP 1ST EXCUSE - HE HAD TO PICK UP HIS LADDERS! 2ND EXCUSE HE COULD NOT MAKE IT DUE TO ANOTHER JOB! 3RD EXCUSE - HE HAD TO DO A SCHOOL RUN AND THEN I STILL GAVE HIM THE BENEFIT OF DOUBT BY RE-ARRANGING FOR HIM TO COME ANOTHER DAY WHICH WAS AGREED UPON BY HIM OVER THE PHONE. HE STILL DIDN'T SHOW UP AND WHEN I TRIED CALLING HIM HE SWITCHED HIS PHONE OFF. CLASSIC COWBOY WHO WASTES PEOPLE'S TIME.

Handyman- 20 Sep 2022
The contract was for 9 hours of work. In the end, I was charged for 10 hours. They argued that the handyman did not take a break. The worker was from 0900 to 1700. 8 hours minus short breaks. I would not recommend this company.

Fascias & Soffits- 18 Aug 2023
I’ve had nothing but bother since getting my guttering replaced. After taking ages to obtain a receipt the Down pipes keep falling apart. The pipes come away from the guttering and the felt roof has already had to be replaced. I’ve tried several times in many different ways to contact the company ablmd they have now blocked my calls and messages but have the nerve to use my house photo on thei website without my permission. I’ve had to pay many different people to re-attach down pipes guttering and the felt roof. I would NOT recommend this company at all. I’m not very much out of pocket and the work is only 8 months old. 😡

Bathroom Fitting- 13 Sep 2018
Did some good work but let us down when not accepting responsibility for his failure to commission a bore hole filtration installation that did not give us clear water for 6 months. We only found out when I employed and paid Anglian water to come out to check the system and they reported that it had never worked since installation as he did not open the air valve and so there was no chance that the iron could be put into suspension so the next cylinder could filter it properly. They opened the valve and the water is 70 cleaner - I suggest to Ben he paid £115 for the Anglian visit and install one 5 micron filter at his cost so we get the clear water he promised before being awarded the contract. I have not heard from him after this reasonable compensation request for 6 months yellow water that children will not bath in, guests are concerned with and will not drink. So would not hire him again

Gave £1000 upfront, as deposit for 2 jobs, which would take a maximum of 2 weeks to complete., 3 months later neither jobs are finished, they had the audacity to deliver hardcore from another job they were doing, 2 tons of rubble was dumped on my drive way consisting of broken sink, toilet, plastic pipes, lino, large chuncks of concrete. They never turned up when they said they would,I wouldn't recommend this father and son company at all. Eventually I've told them I cannot continue with their diabolical service.

Bathroom Fitting- 12 Apr 2019
Firstly I am sorry to leave this review. The job deliver was shocking. I should have got someone with good reviews before hiring you. I got desperate for a builder. I had to get someone else to fix errors done. Doesn’t turn up as agreed, when he does turn up, he is in rush. I Don’t like leaving bad reviews but i had to. I think this is not a trade you should be into. I do wish you the best in the future, but different trade. Expensive lesson.
